Synopsis
An aging, but capable and talented session guitarist named McQueen (Remar) is awakened by a late-night call from a nearby recording studio. He is needed to help smooth out some tracks that are being worked on by an established and popular hard rock band, the Raging Kings. The band’s own lead guitarist, Dean Storm (Kober) is resentful of McQueen’s involvement, and after an argument with the other members he decides to leave the group altogether. Impressed by McQueen’s skills, the band asks him on the spot to replace Storm and he graciously accepts, fulfilling his lifelong dream.Actors

Ali Amir, l'ex-mari de Cathy, vient chercher leur fille, Lauren, pour passer le week-end avec lui et doit la ramener le lundi matin suivant à l'école. Mais lorsque Cathy se rend à l'établissement de sa fille pour la chercher, elle constate avec effroi que sa fille ne s'y trouve pas. Elle se rend aussitôt au domicile d'Ali et se rend compte que son appartement est vide. Le propriétaire des lieux, furieux, lui apprend alors qu'il a quitté les lieux deux jours plus tôt. Effondrée, Cathy se rend immédiatement chez le frère d'Ali qui lui annonce que son frère a vendu son restaurant mais il refuse de lui dire où il est parti. Terrorisée, elle joint alors Maisha, la seconde femme d'Ali. Celle-ci lui révèle que son mari l'a suppliée de partir avec lui pour la Jordanie mais elle a refusé. Peu à peu, les doutes de Cathy se confirment. Ali a enlevé Lauren. Cathy est alors prête à tout pour sauver sa fille des griffes de cet homme.

The film features Byrne as an unnamed, cowboy-hat-wearing stranger who visits the fictional Texas town of Virgil, where he observes the citizens as they prepare for the Celebration of Special-ness to mark the sesquicentennial (i.e. 150th) anniversary of the founding of the town and Texas independence from Mexico. The event is being sponsored by the Varicorp Corporation, a local computer manufacturing plant. Byrne's narration often breaks the fourth wall, especially while he is driving around town in his Chrysler LeBaron convertible. At other times, sequences are filmed in a documentary style with Byrne's character as host.

When his parents are killed in a botched drug deal, a young boy is taken in by a bag lady who teaches him about the Blue Coats (Cops) and White Coats (Doctors). After her death he becomes an urban Tarzan defending innocents in a large city. He soon becomes an urban legend and champion of street justice, espousing a 1960s philosophy and coming to the aid of the helpless and oppressed. Jane (Kathleen Quinlan) is the concerned social worker who falls for the hero. Armed with a bow and arrow and makeshift equipment such as a grappling hook made from an old umbrella he and his cat sidekick set out to avenge his parents death when he finds the drug dealer that killed them. The song Wild Thing by the Troggs is played as a sort of theme music for this unlikely hero, played by Robert Knepper.
