Shrimathi is a 2011 Indian Kannada romance drama film directed by Ravi Kumar, and remake of 2004 Bollywood film Aitraaz, which in turn, is loosely based on the film Disclosure. The film stars Upendra, Priyanka Trivedi and Celina Jaitly in the lead roles, along with Prem Chopra, Sayaji Shinde and Rekha Das in the supporting roles. It is produced by Shankare Gowda and features the original soundtrack and film score by Ghantadi Krishna.

Sri (Upendra) is a playboy. All he does is to seduce the girls into his bed and leave them frustrated by doing nothing. He is a woman hater and he has a few strong reasons to be one. Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir Kapoor), a Sikh B Com graduate with approximately 39 percent marks becomes a salesman with a big corporate computer assembly and service company, AYS. His idealistic vision of the working world shatters quickly. Within a few days, a client asks for a kick-back. Harpreet is against and files a complaint only to find out that that this is how AYS operates. The top salesmen at AYS acquire large client contracts through bribery. In such corrupt company culture, Harpreet's honesty only brings him a demotion and humiliation. After making concessions to a client for the company, Harpreet realizes that sales success is dependent on the customer; so if the customer is satisfied then bribery will not be necessary to secure these contracts. No one agrees with him but Harpreet remains firm on his belief and forms his own company,Rocket Sales Corporation, from within AYS. Rocket Sales is being managed from the AYS offices where the Rocket partners were still employed. Unlike AYS, Rocket Sales Corporation's overall strategic goal is customer service and customer satisfaction as opposed to just selling the product through bribes and providing zero customer service. Other disgruntled employees of AYS find their way to Rocket Sales – a place where even the guy who serves tea is an equal partner because he brings talent to the table.

Major Ram is one of the few soldiers from the Indian Army who have been held captive in Pakistan, following the war with India. After a recollection of his childhood memory in which he meets a police officer while being chased by three men, Rockstar Gautham (Mahesh Babu) kills one of the three men (Kelly Dorji) and informs the police. Inspector John Basha (Sayaji Shinde) takes him into custody. A news reporter Sameera (Kriti Sanon) who recorded the incident airs the video and shows that Gautham had imagined killing Dorji. The film starts off by showing Chithambaram (Prakash Raj), and how he's an important man in the village. He is an adamant character who always sticks on to his decisions. When the temple festival starts, Kausalya (Priyanka) goes to her grandfather's house to celebrate. There she meets Suresh (Vikram) and they fall in love. Meanwhile, Chithambaram gets into many conflicts with Suresh, not even knowing who the other was. All the things that Suresh did were unintentional but Chithambaram doesn't realize this. Therefore, Chithambaram ends up with a very negative opinion of Suresh. He, however stubbornly sticks to his decision that the marriage should not take place.

Bijay comes to Calcutta from Siliguri for higher studies and has a chance meeting with Rupa. Bijay experiences what is termed "Love at first sight" according to his mentor and maternal uncle Prabha mama. So she attempts suicide and it is Prabhu mama who salvages the situation by bringing out the reality in front of Rupa's family and asking Bijay "tui or jivan sangee hoye ja" (become Rupas life partner).
