Add to a movie listSimhadri is a 2003 Telugu action masala film with Jr. NTR playing the lead role and Bhoomika, Ankitha, and Nassar playing the supporting roles. S. S. Rajamouli directed the film. This was the second collaboration between Jr. NTR and S.S. Rajamouli after their first hit Student No.1. It was subsequently dubbed into Hindi as Yamraaj Ek Faulaad. After the huge success of this film, it was remade into Tamil as Gajendra with Vijayakanth, and in Kannada as Kanteerava with Duniya Vijay.
Synopsis
An orphan and good-hearted lad Simhadri (NTR) is 'adopted' and grows up under Ram Bhupal Varma's (Nassar) family care in Visakhapatnam. The bond they share is like a father and son. Kasturi (Ankita) is the granddaughter (youngest daughter's daughter) of Ram Bhupal Varma. Kasturi likes Simhadri a lot. Once a week, Simhadri visits a mentally challenged girl called Indu (Bhoomika Chawla). He entertains her and provides money to her caretakers (Rallapally and Ragini).Actors

The film is set in the Nelakondapalli village of Adilabad district in Nizam Princely State of Hyderabad of the late 1940s. Prudhvi (Nitin Kumar Reddy) & Shashank (Shashank) are the leaders of two warring students groups in a Hyderabad college. They are fond of rugby union game and they sort the things out between them by playing rugby to prove superiority. Athili Sathi Babu (Ravi Teja) is a small-time thief and crook who is crazy about acts of daredevilry who falls in love with Neeraja (Anushka Shetty) who is in Hyderabad to attend a marriage. Aditya (Jr. NTR) joins a law college in Vizag as a student. The law college is notorious for its unruly students headed by Satya (Rajeev Kanakala). In the ancient Kingdom of Mahishmati in India, Sivagami, the queen mother (Ramya Krishnan), carrying a baby in her arms, emerges from a cave adjoining a big waterfall. She kills the soldiers pursuing her and sacrifices herself to save the baby. Local villagers spot the queen's hand carrying baby in the river and rescues the infant. Faction feud in Rayalseema results in the death of Ramineedu's (V. Nagineedu) brother and he, along with his two sons Mallasuri (Supreeth Reddy) and Baireddy (Venugopal), vow for revenge.
