The story is about a Marathi girl Meenakshi (Rani Mukerji) falling in love with a Tamil artist Surya (Prithviraj Sukumaran). She is a librarian at a college. Juhi is an aging prostitute whose son, Kaku, is a wheelchair-bound. She finds it challenging to take care of him with the limited number of customers that now find her attractive.
