The Matsugane Potshot Affair (松ヶ根乱射事件, Matsugane Ransha Jiken) is a 2006 Japanese drama film directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita, starring Hirofumi Arai.

Synopsis

The lives of twin brothers Kotaro and Hikaru change when a woman's body is found on the outskirts of Matsugane after being hit by a car. Kotaro, a police officer, discovers that the woman is still alive and later finds out that it was his brother who had almost killed her as well.

A group of high school girls have formed a band to perform at their high school cultural festival in three days' time, but the guitarist and singer have quit. The remaining members, Kei Tachibana (立花恵, Tachibana Kei), Kyoko Yamada (山田 響子, Yamada Kyōko), and Nozomi Shirakawa (白河望, Shirakawa Nozomi), decide to perform covers of Blue Hearts songs, but need to find a new singer. They ask the first girl that walks by: Son (ソン), a Korean exchange student who is not fluent in Japanese. The first day ends with all the girls working their hardest to learn their parts.
