The film featured Ajith Kumar, Vikram and Maheswari in the lead roles with Raghuvaran, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and Srividya in other pivotal roles. The film was released in May 1997 to mixed reviews.
Synopsis
The plot revolves around two fathers and their sons. Raghuvaran, Vikram's father, is a smuggler who lives in a house near S.P.Balasubramaniam's, father of Ajith. In his childhood days, getting attracted by Raghuvaran's activities, Ajith remains to stay with him always. While SPB tries to convince his son, it is all in vain. He got vexed and started to raise Vikram, son of Raghuvaran, as a good man. In college days, Vikram becomes a singer, and becomes a lover boy in the college. While Ajith studying in the same college becomes a dancer and turns out to be a local dada, who helps Raghuvaran in his business. In the meanwhile, Ajith and Vikram love the same girl (Maheswari), who in turn loves Ajith. SPB comes to know about Vikram's love affair and begs Ajith to leave his love for Vikram, since he won't be able to lead a peaceful life in the shape he is. The film ends with Ajith having to choose between his lady love and the dark world.Actors

Printed Indian currency, from the Reserve Bank of India security press at Nasik with an estimated value of ₹ 10 billion is stolen by underworld Gangster Vikram (Salim Ghouse) living in London. The container is snipped off from a goods carrier en route to New Delhi, through Vikram's henchman. The access card of the container is in the possession of pop star Chandralekha (Anu Agarwal). The CBI chief Laxminarayana (S. P. Balasubramaniam) is assigned to track down the stolen currency, which had already been attested by the governor of the Reserve Bank of India. On her way to Vikram chandralekha comes across two burglar's Kadhir (Anand) and Azhagu (Prashanth) who are on the run from the police—having in tow country-girl Rasathi (Heera Rajagopal) whom they kept from committing suicide and who then ran away from her ruthless uncle. Laxminarayan's assignment will lead him to Ashok Tejani, and then the two burglars, who are on the run from the Police along with the suicidal village belle. His efforts will be frustrated even more after Ashok is killed and his girlfriend Chandralekha, is absconding; and the entry of the international drug dealer himself, simply known as Vikram, who will stop at nothing to get his hands on the loot. After some attempts of cheating each other Chandralekha is making friends with the thieves. When she discovers that Vikram is stopping at nothing—especially not at dead bodies—on his hunt after the loot, she informs the three others about the real value of the code card. In the following pursuit between Vikram, the four heroes and a special police brigade, which has to get back the money before a state crisis comes about, there is not only fierce action, but also love comes to its own.

Siva (Madhavan)comes to Chennai to continue his studies. He meets Priya (Meera Jasmine) and falls in love with her at first sight. A driving instructor (Vikram), who calls himself by various names such as "James Bond", "Mani Ratnam", "Sunil Gavaskar" etc. (but never reveals his actual name), is assigned by a local goon Doss (Pasupathy) to deliver a "package" to one Pooran Singh (Abhimanyu Singh) in Mussoorie. The "package" is Shakeela (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), an orphaned woman who has failed her driving test 14 times. The driving instructor is constantly irritated by Shakeela's antics during the journey to Mussoorie, but soon falls in love with her after finding out that she is an orphan. At Mussoorie, he learns from Pooran Singh that Shakeela is to be "delivered" to one Daksha Bhai (Rahul Dev), an upper-caste landlord from an Uttarakhand-based village. He "delivers" Shakeela to Daksha Bhai and is invited to stay at his ancestral mansion for a couple of days. During the stay, he finds out why Shakeela has been "delivered" to Daksha Bhai.

Gwen and Rhys are a Welsh-speaking couple living in Cardiff where Rhys works as a photographer and Gwen is employed as a historical interpreter at a local Welsh cultural centre.
