Synopsis
Bhoominathan (Charuhasan), an honest politician, wins the election and becomes the CM. A felicitation function is organized to celebrate his victory. In the function, he is assassinated by Thyagu (Prabhu). On the one hand, Thyagu is arrested and he denies having killed Bhoominathan. On the other hand, Boominathan's son, Chandru (Karthik) is determinated to find his father's murderer. The rest of the story is what happens to Thyagu and Chandru who is the real culprit.Actors

The film takes place in a village after which the movie is titled. Revathy leads a cloistered life and does not visit anyone. She is worshipped as a holy lad upon whom the god comes down to give them orders periodically. Revathy was an orphan and is found by Janagaraj, who is a street performer. They go from house to house begging for food. One day a lonely woman, Sulakshana,(a secret prostitute of the village high man) accepts Revathy as her own daughter and janagaraj as her brother, into her own house and provides for them. After 10 years, revathy attains age and some days later finds sulakshan's occupation. She and janagaraj attempt to leave her house, but sulakshana suddenly falls ill and this stops their exit . After Sulakshana's death, Vijaykakumar, the head of the village, tries to take advantage of Revathi. But Revathi keeps dodging him and keeps herself chaste.

In the past, Jeevadurai (Jaiganesh), an honest police officer, was killed by Govindan (Vijayakumar). Thereafter, Rajaratnam (Sathyaraj), Jeevadurai's son, was brought by D.I.G Pandidurai (Sivaji Ganesan). Few years later, Rajaratnam is married to Devaki (Rupini) and they have a son. Seenu (Karthik) grows as an orphan and becomes a full-time stealer, he helps prisoners by solving their problems outside. One day, intrigued by a prisoner silence, Seenu asks him his problem. The prisoner is Adhiseshan (Devan), maternal uncle of Gayatri (Srinidhi), and he wants to save her life from her paternal uncle (Anandaraj) and her brother. Seenu promised him to solve his problem. Firstly, Gayatri avoids Seenu but she soon understands the conspiracy of Rajasekhar and she begin to be closed with Seenu. Adhiseshan reveals to Seenu after seeing the photo of Seenu's mother that he is his father. Happy, he brings Gayatri to Adhiseshan's home but they find him death. Gayatri's guardians borrows lot of money, so they are sent to jail, she cannot stay to her house so Seenu accommodates her. Seenu decided to earn money in the right way to realize Gayatri's dream : to become a Carnatic music singer. When she becomes a famous singer, she builds a new house and she reveals to Seenu that she's in love with Suresh (Siva), her hardcore fan. Suresh's father releases Rajasekhar to separate them before their marriage. Seenu manages to save them and the couple elope. To keep his neighbouring (Manorama) promise after her death, Seenu decide to carry the widow woman and her son.

Rajakumaran (Prabhu) is the son of the village chief (Vijayakumar). Yuvaraj (Nassar) hates Rajakumaran and his village. Selvi (Meena Durairaj) and Vaidehi (Nadhiya) are in love with their cousin Rajakumaran but he chooses Vaidehi. Selvi decides to sacrifice her love, her father Selvaraj (Captain Raju) refuses to give his property to village people as promised and his only request is that Rajakumaran gets married with Selvi. Selvi convinced Rajakumaran to lie, he lies to her father and he gives his property. Vaidehi committed suicide and Rajakumaran reveals his lie. One day, some goons decide to put a bomb and Rajakumaran saves the village. The village thinks that the culprit was Thangaraj (Thyagu) because he wanted to revenge Rajakumaran after his lie. Angry, Thangaraj insults Rajakumaran's father in public and Rajakumaran's father died. Yuvaraj asks to Selvaraj and Thangaraj to marry Selvi, and they accept. The village was against the marriage. A man (R. V. Udayakumar) came and said that a deaf-mute girl, who learnt to read and to write, was the witness of Vaidehi's murder by Yuvaraj. On the marriage day, Yuvaraj cancelled the marriage and decided to humiliate Selvi. Rajakumaran saves her and he decides to marry her.

The film opens with shots showing Veeraiya (Vikram) jumping off a cliff into water. His gang is busy distracting the police. Police vehicles are set ablaze and women seduce policemen into a trap whereby Veera's henchmen attack. The police are ruthlessly murdered. The film starts with a flashback. ACP Bose (karthik) is a sincere police officer happily married and lives with his parents and younger brother velu (arunvijay).
