Synopsis
Depuis le suicide quinze ans auparavant de son mari qui était inspecteur de police comme elle, Éva Batiz subit des crises de panique lorsqu'elle s'approche trop des scènes de crimes. Elle préfère s'isoler dans son bureau dans lequel elle analyse méticuleusement les indices récoltés par ses collègues. Son esprit analytique lui permet de déterminer les erreurs qu'ils ont pu commettre lors de leur enquête. Par ailleurs, en privé, elle doit tenir tête à sa fille adolescente rebelle et violente avec ses camarades. Dans une Hongrie contemporaine rongée par la corruption et les complots, mais également ravagée par des guérillas urbaines, elle découvre un jour qu'un tueur en série sévit à Budapest, un meurtrier qui maquille ses crimes en suicides. Alors que ses supérieurs refusent de la prendre au sérieux, elle et son nouveau collègue Peter découvrent que le criminel laisse des messages cachés qui leur font croire qu'il tue à des fins politiques et radicales. Lorsqu'un homme survit à son agression dans sa luxueuse villa, la policière fait le lien avec les différentes affaires et s'aperçoit que les meurtres en série sont connectés à certaines hautes sphères politiques et nationales d'hier et d'aujourd'hui.Actors

Sam Dietz (Leo Rossi) is a rookie Los Angeles detective recently transferred from New York City. He is paired up with veteran detective Bill Malloy (Robert Loggia) in order to find and stop a serial killer. Tell Me Something is a blood soaked film, although much of the violence occurs off screen. The story begins with a detective Jo returning to work after the death of his mother. He is accused of accepting money from a dubious source to pay for his mother’s medical treatment. He denies the accusation but his career is under a cloud and the film never definitely clears up whether he is innocent of this charge. (Although Jo does seem to allude to this to his friend, Detective Oh, which suggests he is willing to compromise legality in order to follow the higher morality of caring for a loved one.)

The film begins in late 1999. Tetraplegic forensics expert Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington) and a patrol cop, Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie), team up to solve a string of murders all connected to a serial killer by his signature: a single shard of bone is removed from each of the victims. Labbé, a hatter in a French provincial town, leads the life of a respectable citizen but is in fact a serial murderer. The only person to suspect this is his neighbour Kachoudas, an Armenian tailor. After the hatter kills his own wife, he then kills six of her friends to stop them visiting her and prepares to murder a seventh when the intended victim dies naturally. As a substitute, he murders the maid. At the same time, Kachoudas is dying and Labbé confesses his crime to him. Then, after getting drunk he visits his favourite prostitute Berthe and kills her too, being found there in the morning by the police.
