Add to a movie listZapatlela 2 (झपाटलेला २) is a Marathi horror comedy movie, which was released in 3D on 7 June 2013. It is directed by Mahesh Kothare and is the sequel to Zapatlela, released 20 years previously (in 1993). Zapatlela 2 is the first Marathi film shot entirely with a 3D camera.
The film marks the comeback of the renowned ventriloquist Ramdas Padhye along with his famous evil puppet Tatya Vinchu. Though Padhye claims that the sequel had higher challenges in presenting the puppet, he also admits that advanced VFX helped in taking the puppet to the next level.
Mahesh has stated that if the film did well, it would be dubbed into Hindi and a third movie in the series could be made.
Synopsis
The film opens within the mansion of Baba Chamatkar (Raghvendra Kadkol). Kubdya Khavis has secured the doll containing the soul of gangster Tatya Vinchu (shown in prequel Zapatlela) and orders Baba Chamatkar to revive Tatya Vinchu again. However, Baba refuses to commit the same mistake again. Infuriated, Kubdya tries to kill him using a trishul (a weapon which looks like a trident). However, Baba uses the same weapon to kill him. A drop of Kubdya's blood is accidentally transferred towards the doll, which resuscitates Tatya Vinchu. Tatya confronts Baba Chamatkar and forces him to tell how to migrate to a human form. Baba resists in the beginning and then falls unconscious. Tatya finds a book named 'Om Fat Swaha' and discovers that, to migrate to a human form, the victim (Tatya) must make use of the Mrutyunjaya Mantra on the person to whom he has confessed his true name. But now that the person (Lakshya, portrayed by Laxmikant Berde in Zapatlela) is dead, the same mantra can be used on his son. Tatya vows to find Lakshya's son and migrate into his body.Actors

The movie begins with three friends Sameer (Shreyas Talpade), Ravi (Abhiram Bhadkamkar) and Bharat (Bharat Jadhav) who arrive in a Osadwadi, a small village. They are working in a bank and have been transferred to this village branch. Any new transferees that arrive are routinely made to stay in a wada, till they find alternate arrangements. The wada was incidentally mortgaged to the bank and hence any new transferees that arrive are routinely made to stay in this wada till they can find alternate arrangements. Many transferee's had left the job and left the village due to strange things happening in the wada.

The Film begins with a Car approaching in Night. Tatya Vinchu (Dilip Prabhavalkar) a famous gangster and his henchman kubdya Khavis enters the cave of Baba chamtkar (Raghvendra Kadkol) in search for mrutunjay mantra, a voodoo spell which can transfer the soul of the chanter to any living or nonliving object. Tatya threatens Baba Chamatkar for his mantra. Baba, out of fear, gives it to him. CID Inspector Mahesh Jadhav (Mahesh Kothare), who is trying to arrest Tatya raids his warehouse. Mahesh finds Tatya, and gives chase until Tatya hides in a post office. There, they fight and Tatya gets hit by a fatal gunshot. He uses the mantra to transfer his soul into the body of a ventriloquist's doll lying nearby. Meanwhile Kubdya Khavis is captured and taken into custody. The police believes that Tatya is dead.

Bud Gay is arrested for carrying drugs and sent to prison. When his mother, Mrs Bud Lung, visits him, she realises that a ghost is haunting him, so she sends Bud Yan to help him. The plot is set around a facility where new medications are tested on willing volunteers. While at an experimental drug weekend trial, Andre Chang and Juliet Reid meet and soon discover that their lives are in danger. The building is locked down for the testing period and it is found that the drug on trial causes extremely disturbing hallucinations that point towards a horrific double murder that took place at the facility. It is soon realised that the only way for them to escape is to solve the mystery behind this horrific secret. Eventually, they find out that the nurse in charge of the facility, Nurse Bates, murdered her sister and nephew in the facility and covered it up as a murder/suicide. In an attempt to keep them quiet, Nurse Bates tries to kill Andre and Juliet, but ghosts of her victims return and take vengeance, killing Bates by impaling her with a stool. Andre and Juliet are later cured of their ailments, despite the fact that they were given placebos in the trial. They then go off to take advantage of the second chance they have been given in life.

Christin works in a hotel owned by Budcasso, the fiancé of her friend, Zidane. She is caught embezzling company funds and turns to Zidane for help but Zidane refuses. Christin attempts a fake suicide, hoping that Budcasso would take pity on her, but her plan fails and she really dies. As she was dressed in red when she died, she becomes a vengeful ghost after death and returns to take her revenge. Meanwhile, Budcasso invites his ex-wife Mrs Bud Lung to attend his wedding and Bud develops a rivalry with Zidane. Bud is a traditional Chinese ghostbuster while Zidane is well-versed in Western occult arts, and they become friends after joining forces to subdue Christin. As Budcasso fears ghosts, he abandons Zidane in the same manner he did to his ex-wife after seeing that his new fiancée is another ghostbuster.
