Sonalee Kulkarni is an Indian actress, originally from Pune, India. She is noted for her role in the acclaimed 2009 Marathi film Natarang, followed by Kshanbhar Vishranti, Ajintha, Zapatlela 2, Classmates, Mitwaa, Shutter. She made her Hindi debut in adult sex comedy Grand Masti wherein she played the role of Mamta, as wife of Ritesh Deshmukh.
Sonalee studied at the Army School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and the Ferguson college, Pune. She completed a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Indira School of Communication, Pune. Sonalee has been practising dance from the age of five, and trained as a Bharatnatyam dancer during her school years.

Biography
Sonalee Kulkarni was born to Manohar and Savinder Kulkarni in the army cantonment of Khadki, near Pune. Her father is a retired doctor serving with the Army Medical Corps, whereas her mother too was associated with the Army. She was brought up in a mixed cultural background, as her father is a Deshastha Brahmin from Maharashtra whereas her mother is originally from Punjab. Sonalee speaks fluent Hindi, Marathi, English and Punjabi, although she faced some difficulty with Marathi while performing in her first Marathi film Bakula Namdev Ghotale.Sonalee studied at the Army School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and the Ferguson college, Pune. The film opens within the mansion of Baba Chamatkar (Raghvendra Kadkol). Kubdya Khavis has secured the doll containing the soul of gangster Tatya Vinchu (shown in prequel Zapatlela) and orders Baba Chamatkar to revive Tatya Vinchu again. However, Baba refuses to commit the same mistake again. Infuriated, Kubdya tries to kill him using a trishul (a weapon which looks like a trident). However, Baba uses the same weapon to kill him. A drop of Kubdya's blood is accidentally transferred towards the doll, which resuscitates Tatya Vinchu. Tatya confronts Baba Chamatkar and forces him to tell how to migrate to a human form. Baba resists in the beginning and then falls unconscious. Tatya finds a book named 'Om Fat Swaha' and discovers that, to migrate to a human form, the victim (Tatya) must make use of the Mrutyunjaya Mantra on the person to whom he has confessed his true name. But now that the person (Lakshya, portrayed by Laxmikant Berde in Zapatlela) is dead, the same mantra can be used on his son. Tatya vows to find Lakshya's son and migrate into his body.

Gunvantrao Kagalkar aka 'Guna' (Atul Kulkarni), a poor village labourer, nurtures an obsession for Tamasha - a popular theatrical folk art form of Maharashtra. Unforeseen circumstances lead him to lose his job as labourer and lands him in situation where he sets up a theatre company along with his friend and mentor Pandba (Kishor Kadam). Guna is convinced that his troupe cannot take off unless it has a female dancer. After painstaking search, Pandoba finds Naina (Sonalee Kulkarni), the daughter of his former lover Yamunabai (Priya Berde), who is willing to dance for the company on the condition that it has a "Nachya", a "pansy" character, a man who acts in an effeminate manner. As no one is willing to take up the role, due to the eunuch taboo, Guna takes it upon himself to play the character. The strongly built Guna takes up the challenge of doing the role due to his passion for the art.
