Wahid et Tashi sont deux jeunes garçons de dix ans qui vivent dans deux des régions les plus inhospitalières de la planète : le désert de Ténéré et la cordillère de l’Himalaya. Et malgré les milliers de kilomètres qui les séparent, ils ont quelque chose en commun qui va d’ailleurs signifier un avant et un après dans leurs vies. Pour la première fois ils vont accompagner, dans un long et périlleux voyage, leurs familles qui depuis des générations consacrent leur vie au commerce du sel. Caravana est l’histoire réelle de ces deux voyages racontés à travers les personnages de Wahid et Tashi. Le premier traversera le désert de Ténéré (Niger) avec une caravane de quarante chameaux jusqu’aux salines de Bilma et le second, la cordillère de l’Himalaya au Népal avec cinquante yaks, jusqu’aux salines de Dabrié.

The film is set in Spain where a middle aged man driving his car rams into the rear of another car that is driven by a lady named Sonsoles. They get into an argument and then the frustrated businessman starts harassing her by sending lewd remarks on her phone.He starts to stalk her and this eventually leads him to the school where her younger sister Maria studies. He follows her and introduces himself to her by a false name and a false profession.They start spending time with each other, going to a park and afterwards to the swimming complex.Later Maria comes to know of the real name of the person she is seeing to be Pablo Lopez.However after an initial reluctance she gives in and they again start to see each other.On the other hand,a colleague of Pablo is wooing him hard but he disperses her advances as he has grown to have feelings for Maria.Meanwhile Sonsoles's older lover fixes a device in her landline which traces unknown numbers and hence she knows that Pablo is behind the act.However she does not know about her sister's involvement with him and so she sends goons after him to teach him a lesson.But the story takes an ugly turn when the goons target Pablo Maria is with him and she is molested by the goons though Pablo tries hard to save her but he is captured and when Maria tries to save herself and in self-defense hits one of the goons with her knee she is thrown against a rock and dies on the spot.Pablo overcome by sorrow and grief stays by her until the police arrive and is arrested .In the prison he sees a flashback of Maria and becomes elated.

These executioners are going home, in most cases to the same places where they carried out their crimes, and will have to "face" their victims and ask their forgiveness.
