Aftab Shivadasani (Sindhi: آفتاب شوداساڻي‎, Hindi: आफ़ताब शिवदसानी) is an Indian film actor, producer and model known for his works in Bollywood. He started his acting career as a child artist with the film Mr. India. In 1999, he starred in Ram Gopal Varma's Mast, for which he received the Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut. In 2000, he appeared in Vikram Bhatt's Kasoor alongside Lisa Ray, for which he received Zee Cine Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role..

Biography

Shivdasani was born in Mumbai to Prem and Putli Shivdasani. His father is a Hindu Sindhi while his mother is a Parsi. He has an elder sister named Afsana Shivdasani. He studied at St. Xavier's High School, (Fort) located at Lokamanya Tilak Marg in Mumbai. He then graduated from H. R.College of Commerce in Mumbai. In 2012, he was engaged to Nin Dusanj, a London-based Punjabi who works in Hong Kong. On June 11, 2014, he married Dusanj at a private ceremony attended only by both their families.

Mastermind Charlie Mascarenhas (Abhishek Bachchan) and his accomplice Riya (Bipasha Basu) are one of the greatest pair of thieves in India. In 1920, Jaidev Verma (Aftab Shivdasani) is a famous poet who lives the life of a loner as he is unable to meet the love of his life, Smruti (Tia Bajpai). They got to know each other through an exchange of letters and slowly fall in love. One day, Jaidev receives a letter informing him that Smruti had an accident and died. Now his sister Karuna (Vidya Malvade) is his only support system that keeps him motivated. One day Jaidev finds an unconscious girl near a lake and brings her home. After gaining consciousness, she is unable to remember anything from her past life except Jaidev's poems. Karuna becomes skeptical of her presence in the house and gets even more so when the keeper of the cemetery warns them of an evil spirit inside of her who is in love with her.

The story focuses on Steven (Sunil Shetty) and his wife Nancy (Aarti Chabria) who currently live with Steven's mother and plan to purchase their own flat soon. The film begins with the death of Steven's father. Steven organises the whole funeral by himself and the guests begin to arrive.
