The movie is a remake of the 2001 film Saving Silverman. It is directed by E. Nivas and produced by Ravi Walia. The film revolves around three childhood friends who have grown together and when Rimi Sen comes in their life, the whole dynamics of their friendship changes. The film was initially titled Jalsa. De Taali was released on 20 June 2008
Synopsis
Abhishek 'Abhi' (Aftab Shivdasani), Paglu (Ritesh Deshmukh) and Amrita 'Amu' (Ayesha Takia) are best friends since childhood. Abhi's father (Anupam Kher) is a very rich businessman, and his only son has no interest in work. Abhi has had many girlfriends, but none of them lasted long. Paglu and Abhi's father tells Amu to marry Abhi because they know each other very well. One day Abhi comes and tells Amu that he loves someone that is his childhood friend; Amu thinks that she is the girl whom Abhi loves and she, too, falls in love with him.Actors

Anjali (Rimi Sen) has run away from a small village to get a job in Mumbai, where she hopes to make enough money to pay off the debts her family owes their landlord or else she will have to marry the landlord's son, Raja (Rajpal Yadav). Rahul (Tusshar Kapoor) is sincere and hardworking whilst Karan (Ritesh Deshmukh) is just the opposite. Both are best friends & cool wannabes. Things take a funny turn when the job of nabbing Rahul is entrusted to a violent lady Inspector called Urmila Martodkar (Isha Koppikar) who enters Rahul's life on a pretext, and tries to seduce him into showing his true nature. Rahul falls in love with her and she loves him back, not remembering she is on an police force mission. By this time, Karan falls in love with his boss's ex Kiran. After a roller coaster ride of mistaken identities & comedy of errors, the film reaches its crescendo when the police are on the verge of arresting Rahul as the rapist and Karan is about to wed Kiran at the temple, not knowing that she is a transvestite.
