In Italy, during 1943, two men collide during the bombing of the Nazis and American allies. Antonio is a thief who disguises himself as a priest for the robberies at the stations; Vittorio Cotono is a marshal upright who's chasing Antonio, and that in the end, to a misunderstanding, he is forced to do so by Marshal dress. Antonio is excited about the new appointment, and Vittorio meanwhile disguises himself as a priest. In fact the two are persecuted by the Nazis and fascists because they're hiding a Jew woman and an American who is planning the Allied landing.

While Hercules (Mickey Hargitay) is away, his village is plundered and his wife is killed by the army of Ecalia as the first part of a scheme by the treacherous Licos (Massimo Serato) to gain the throne of Ecalia for himself. Licos plans that Hercules will come to Ecalia for vengeance and murders the King himself to save Ecalia from his revenge. Hercules learns of the murder of his wife and seeks vengeance, but is thwarted when the King's daughter and heir to the throne Queen Deianira offers herself rather than her realm of Ecalia as the guilty party. In accordance with the law Deianira must face the wrath of Hercules; she is bound to a wall as Hercules throws axes at her that miss Deianira proving her innocence in the eyes of the gods.

Il revient vers Zénobie pour l'avertir des manœuvres de Semantius qui veut livrer la Syrie aux Perses. Devant l'insuccès de sa démarche et même si Zénobie et lui sont tombés amoureux, Marcus Valerius rejoint les armées romaines et battent les armées de la reine. Zénobie est conduite en captivité à Rome. Devant le Sénat romain, Marcus Valerius parvient à s'expliquer et à sauver la prisonnière. Elle reste captive mais il a le droit de l'accueillir dans sa propre maison. Bethsabée monte sur le trône de Palmyre.

The young emperor Nero proves himself spoiled, childish and unable to cope with the government of Rome. The domineering mother Agrippina and the wise philosopher Seneca try to make change the personality of the emperor, but nothing can makes Nero is a wise and honorable regent. Agrippina then take advantage of a poetic and theatrical failure of Nero to kill him and take over the government of Rome. Seneca initially supported the woman, but then a double game and Nero warns about the conspiracy. Agrippina, smart, lays the blame on the Christians and of Seneca, who could be sentenced to death. However Nero easily deceived again and proved magnanimous, forgiving all.
