Biography
Benoît Delhomme est sorti diplômé de l'école nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière en 1982. Il a été assistant-caméraman sur Jean de Florette et Manon des sources (1986) et est devenu directeur de la photographie sur des longs métrages au début des années 1990. Il est nommé pour le César de la meilleure photographie 1998 pour Artemisia. Au cours des années 2000, il travaille de plus en plus pour des films anglo-saxons. Il remporte le prix spécial du jury au Festival international du film de Chicago 2001 pour Et là-bas, quelle heure est-il ? et l'AFI Award de la meilleure photographie 2005 pour The Proposition.Best films

The film takes place in the same Queens police precinct in 1986 and 2002. William Collins (Aaron Johnson) is a depressed teen recovering from self-harm and regularly goes online to chat rooms. One day, he decides to open a chat room himself and calls it "Chelsea Teens!" and where he meets Jim (Matthew Beard), another kid; Eva (Imogen Poots), a model; Emily (Hannah Murray), a goody two-shoes; and Mo (Daniel Kaluuya), a normal kid. There is no real subject matter in "Chelsea Teens!" which instead focuses on the lives of each teen as they talk. Mike Enslin (John Cusack) is a cynical, skeptical author who, after the death of his daughter Katie (Jasmine Jessica Anthony), writes books appraising supernatural events in which he has no belief. After his latest book, he receives an anonymous postcard depicting The Dolphin, a hotel on Lexington Avenue in New York City bearing the message, "Don't enter 1408." Viewing this as a challenge, Mike forces the hotel to allow him to book the room, referencing a law that any hotel room in New York can be requested as long as it meets safety standards. The hotel manager, Gerald Olin (Samuel L. Jackson) tries to dissuade Mike from checking into the room, explaining that 56 people have died in the room over the past 95 years, and that no one has lasted more than an hour inside it. Mike, who does not believe in the paranormal, insists on staying in the room, and asks Olin if he thinks it is haunted; Olin replies that it is "evil" rather than haunted.
