Pro baseball player Cory Brand is forced into a rehabilitation program in his Oklahoma hometown after several alcohol-related incidents. In 2028, multinational conglomerate OmniCorp revolutionizes warfare with the introduction of robotic peacekeepers capable of maintaining law and order in hot spots such as Iran. In nineteenth century China, Jungle Village is home to several warring clans. In 2169, people are born genetically engineered with a digital clock on their forearm.
