Laurence H. "Larry" Holden (15 May 1961–13 February 2011) was an actor best known for his roles in several of Christopher Nolan's films, including Batman Begins as Finch, Memento as Jimmy and Insomnia as Farrell.
Born in Belfast to Command Sergeant Major Laurence E. Holden and his wife, Friederike, Larry Holden began his career in 1991's The Arc. He appeared in episodes of Cracker and Charmed. He began collaborating with Christopher Nolan in Memento and continued with Insomnia and Batman Begins. Holden was known for his role as "Darren Henson" on CSI. He semi-retired as an actor to become an independent filmmaker, writing and directing eight films. His first film, My Father's House, won the 2002 Independent Achievement Award at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.
In 2010, he was diagnosed with cancer; he died on 13 February 2011. He was 49 years old and survived by his wife, Hanne Kristiansen.

In the small fishing town of Nightmute, Alaska, 17-year-old Kay Connell (Crystal Lowe) is found murdered. LAPD detectives Will Dormer (Al Pacino) and Hap Eckhart (Martin Donovan) are sent to assist the local police with their investigation, at the request of police chief Nyback (Paul Dooley), an old colleague of Will's. Also, an intense Internal Affairs investigation in Los Angeles is about to put Dormer under the microscope. Eckhart reveals that Internal Affairs has offered him an immunity deal in exchange for his testimony regarding one of Dormer's past cases. Eckhart says that he has no choice but to accept the deal, to Dormer's frustration.

The mother of Nikki DeMarco (Kim Delaney) makes a pact with Satan to save her daughter's life after she has fallen from a building and nearly died. While a priest is performing the last rites, Lucifer appears, and says that he will spare her daughter's life if she promises that one day Nikki will bear his son, the Antichrist. Her mother agrees and the Devil saves Nikki. Years later, Nikki, now a successful photographer, is in a hospital watching over her mother who is now on her deathbed. Her mother tries to warn her of the impending evil, and dies. When Nikki touches her mother's crucifix her hand is burned. Nikki moves into a new apartment, not knowing that the room she is currently living in was the scene of a brutal murder years before.
