Marcel Hellman (1898-1985) was a Romanian-born British film producer, who worked closely with Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Harold French.
In 1936 he founded Criterion Film Productions together with Douglas Fairbanks Jr., which produced four films with Fairbanks in the lead, and in 1942 he started a production company known as Excelsior Films Ltd, which in the late 1950s changed name to Marcel Hellman Productions.

When chorus girl Janet Jones is late for rehearsal in Edinburgh, Bates, the chauffeur for B. G. During the Second World War, two British army officers, Garnett and Gowan, together with Private Clark, who used to live in France and ran a café with his French wife, and Raoul, a member of the Free French forces, are dropped off on the coast of occupied France. Their mission is to collect intelligence on German military strength in the area, prior to an airborne raid.
