Biography
She was born in Bogotá, Colombia and started her theater studies at the age of 8 when her parents enrolled her at the Teatro Nacional de Bogotá. She managed to conquer the audience in telenovelas such as Sin límites, Todos quieren con Marilyn, and Pedro el escamoso. She toured internationally with the play Dos Hermanas, and participated in international festivals in Bogotá and Manizales. She starred in the telenovela Pura sangre in 2007 as Florencia Lagos, and in 2009 she starred as Marcela Liévano in the television series El capo. In 2011 she played the role of Lucía Garfunkel in the television series Mentes en Shock. She currently stars as Doris, a villain alongside Aarón Díaz and Lola Ponce, in El Talismán.In film she debuted in 2007 with the movie Satanas, playing the lead female role. That same year she would act in the movie Love in the Time of Cholera. After these films she decided to go by the last name Mar, as she felt it was easier to pronounce compared to Gardeazabal.

Adrián, un jeune et brillant chef d'orchestre espagnol, s'est installé dans une immense maison en Colombie depuis peu où il dirige le philharmonique de Bogota. Mais Belén, sa fiancée avec qui il file le parfait amour, ne tarde pas à le quitter sans raison avant de demeurer totalement introuvable. Un soir, alors qu'il va se saouler dans un bar pour oublier son chagrin, le jeune homme fait la connaissance de la belle Fabiana. Une histoire démarre rapidement entre eux, et celle-ci vient s'installer dans la maison d'Adrián. Les enquêteurs commencent alors à s'intéresser à la disparition subite et inexpliquée de Belén, suspectant Adrián d'avoir commis le pire. Quant à elle, Fabiana est témoin de phénomènes étranges, se sent observée, et en vient à avoir peur de la demeure. Mais Belén n'est pas partie bien loin.

In late 19th century Cartagena, a river port in Colombia, Florentino Ariza falls in love at first sight with Fermina Daza. They secretly correspond and she eventually agrees to marry but her father discovers their relationship and sends her to distant relatives (mainly her grandmother and niece). When she returns some years later, Fermina agrees to marry Dr. Juvenal Urbino, her father's choice. Their fifty-year marriage is outwardly loving, but inwardly marred by darker emotions. Fermina's marriage devastates Florentino, who vows to remain a virgin, but his self-denial is thwarted by a tryst. To help him get over Fermina, his mother throws a willing widow into his bed and he discovers that sex is a very good pain reliever with which he replaces the opium that he had habitually smoked. He begins to record and describe each of his sexual encounters, beginning with the widow, and eventually compiling over 600 entries. A lowly clerk, he plods resolutely over many years to approach the wealth and social standing of Dr. Urbino. When the now-elderly doctor dies suddenly, Florentino immediately and impertinently renews courting Fermina.
