Nathan (Nat) Cohen est un producteur de cinéma britannique, né le 23 décembre 1905 dans l'East End à Londres et mort le 10 février 1988 à Londres (Angleterre).

Biography

Sa carrière débute dans les années 1930. Il commence par acheter un cinéma, puis crée une chaîne de cinémas. Il fonde la société de production Anglo-Amalgamated avec Stuart Levy en 1942.

Il produit des films extrêmement controversés dont Le voyeur et Les Criminels.

The clothing department's floor requires renovation; rather than let the staff sit idle while the area is closed off, the management sends them on a paid holiday in Costa Plonka, a fictional city in Spain. Their hotel and its surroundings prove to be dismal, and the group tries to pass the time by acting on the crushes they have developed for one another in the workplace. Johnny Bannion, un spécialiste des hold-up est sur le point d'être libéré de prison où il a mis au point un "grand coup" qui doit rapporter une somme exceptionnelle. L'idée lui a été suggérée par un autre prisonnier, Snipe, qui fait désormais partie de sa bande. Lors de sa sortie de prison, Bannion est accueilli par un de ses complices, Carter. L'opération se déroule normalement, mais le comportement de Bannion n'inspire guère confiance et un de ses "amis" le dénonce à la police. À nouveau incarcéré, Bannion apprend que sa maîtresse, Suzanne, a été enlevée et finit par comprendre que l'"ami" en question n'est autre que Carter, et que celui-ci cherche à utiliser Suzanne pour l'obliger à révéler l'endroit où il a planqué le magot. Grâce à ses anciens collaborateurs, passés au service de Carter, Bannion sort de prison à seule fin de leur rendre l'argent volé dont il ne devra toucher, à présent, plus un seul sou. Prisonniers de Carter, Bannion et Suzanne parviennent à s'échapper mais ils sont abattus alors qu'ils tentaient de récupérer l'argent du hold-up.

A newlywed couple decide to buy an old yacht "The Cyclops", and fix it up as their home. Soon after the purchase they begin to hear rumours about the ship's dark past. At first they do not believe the rumours; that is, until they start to experience some unexplained ghostly events for themselves. They then hire paranormal investigator, Dr. Fawcett (Hugh Burden) and his medium, Mrs. Manley (Mignon O'Doherty) to determine if there are ghosts on the ship. The paranormal investigator uncovers the murders of the former yacht owner's wife and her lover. He also discovers that the bodies were hidden somewhere on board the yacht. The medium spiritually intervenes and rids the yacht of the haunting spirit.

Detective Hercule Poirot (Albert Finney) is returning to England aboard the Orient Express.
