Nathan Furst (born July 4, 1978) is an American television and film composer.
Furst is the son of Lorraine (Wright) and actor Stephen Furst. Furst's first major film was the 1998 movie A Moment of Confusion. He then went on to compose music for other films such as the first BIONICLE trilogy; BIONICLE: Mask of Light, BIONICLE 2: Legends of Metru Nui and BIONICLE 3: Web of Shadows, Dust to Glory, and Lake Placid 2. Some of the television shows for which he has composed are The Real World and Max Steel. His most recent score as of 2011 is the 2012 Bandito Brothers film Act of Valor.

Tobey Marshall is a former race car driver who owns a Mount Kisco, New York garage, where he and his friends tune performance cars. Struggling to make ends meet, he and his crew participate in street races after hours. One day, Dino Brewster, Tobey's former rival, arrives at his garage in a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren with an offer to complete the build of a rare Ford Shelby Mustang worked on by the late Carroll Shelby. In the Philippines, a terrorist kills the U.S. ambassador, his son, and dozens of children at an elementary school, using a vehicle-borne IED disguised as an ice cream truck. One year after the events of the second film at Black Lake, in Aroostook County, Maine, young couple April and Jason go skinny dipping and are attacked and eaten by a group of baby crocodiles. Meanwhile, at the house of the deceased Sadie Bickerman, her nephew Nathan, his wife Susan and their son Connor are cleaning out the house so they can sell it. Corporate real estate tycoon Hamilton Lux (Armand Assante) sets his sights on developing the quaint seaside town of Full Moon Bay into a prime getaway for the wealthy, but runs into some unexpected problems. Lifelong fisherman Daniel Wilder (John Schneider) and wife Brooke (Daryl Hannah) own property exactly where Lux wants to build high-priced condos, and isn't planning to sell. Without fish to feed on, shark attacks on humans rapidly increase. Lux uses media contacts to paint the attacks as random incidents. Thomas Archer (Ron Eldard), a disconsolate man, is led to an underground room by a distorted male voice on his mobile phone. In flashback it is shown that his wife had been attacked and his son killed for no apparent reason. When he reaches the underground room he finds a man hooded and tied to a chair and told by the distorted voice that this is the man responsible for the attacks. Without any proof he accepts everything he is told and proceeds to torture the man with various implements found in the room. After a while Archer realizes that that this may not be the man responsible for the attacks. Against the orders of the voice he questions the man. They then collaborate in an attempt to escape what they now see as a situation in which the lives of both of them are at risk. It is revealed in flashback that his Doctor (Christopher Plummer) had made Archer an offer to get the revenge he needs. The doctor now reappears and tries to insist that Archer "finish it, and take back your life".

The film begins with the sight of the crystal prison of the Makuta. The story begins with Turaga Vakama retelling the original BIONICLE legend; long ago, the Great Spirit Mata Nui descended from the heavens to an island paradise, bringing with him the islanders known as the Matoran. They were initially without purpose, so the Great Spirit united them with three virtues: unity, duty and destiny. In gratitude of these gifts, the Matoran named their island in his honor. Yet their happiness didn't last, as Mata Nui's envious brother, Makuta, betrayed him by casting a spell over the Great Spirit, sending him into an endless sleep. With his brother struck down, Makuta had free rein to spread his evil across the island.
