A Birthday calls for celebration and of course receiving gifts. Most gifts score high on emotions, some gifts are valuable and a few are priceless. However the protagonist, Subodh Kudmude, strikes a fortune on one of his birthdays and becomes a millionaire overnight. The man is very happy and he starts believing that this is an end to his financial struggle and the life ahead is all smooth; however we all are aware that every fortune comes with the clause, 'Condition Applied'. Subodh Kudmude soon realizes that the fortune comes as a package; in addition to five crores, he receives a few freebies that include a troublesome inspector, an annoying NGO agent, a South Indian Don and a dead body that claims to be Mr. Subodh Kudmude.

Jay (Adinath Kothare) is an orphan raised by and is financially supported by his Uncle Satyavan Makarand Anaspure. Satyavan lives in Dubai with his secretary (Pushkar Shotri).Satyavan sends Jay a monthly alllowance to cover his expenses . Jay has friends called Veeru (Siddharth Chandekar) and Vasanti (Mrunmayee Deshpande) are buddies who are fun loving people with no worries about the future, they will do anything for money and have a good life. Veeru’s father own a scrap business and wanted his son to start taking control of it but Veeru has personal terms. Jay has girlfirend named Isha (Pooja Sawant).Isha is very rich. Along with Veeru and Vasati, Jay and Isha live their lives happyly and without worries until the day Jay realises his Uncle has stopped his allowance. Maanav (Arunoday Singh) is a struggling filmmaker who will not compromise on the script he has written. His girlfriend Ruchi (Shahana Goswami), a successful film editor, arranges for him to meet film producer Nitin (Sushant Singh). Nitin likes the script but is not very sure of its box office potential. Maanav then suggests a story from the Panchtantra: A woman is caught red-handed with her lover by her husband and yet, she manages to wriggle out of it Scot-free! Nitin loves the story but finds it too short for a feature film. Maanav then creates three more stories based on the same premise: in a way, the Panchantra story travels in different versions to the modern times through the film. The four stories are woven together by a common story. Mirch itself echoes this structure, with four stories mingling with the main narrative.
