Synopsis
In 1893 Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak gave a public form to the celebration of the festival of Ganpati which made it genuinely a people's festival. He saw in the festival, a way of uniting people for a common cause with the aim to bring about political consciousness under the guise of a religious celebration, with freedom for India being the ultimate goal.Actors

But the premise is entirely different and so are many other elements associated with Mauli's journey which ranges from simpleton to contest winner to arrogant star to an addict to losing everything and coming back to square one forms the crux of the story.

The film begins with the brutal murder of a Mumbai man named John by a group of Gangsters led by ruthless Kingpin Bappu Ganesh (Upendra Limaye) who terrorizes the slums of Mumbai striking fear into the heart of slum-dwellers.
