Shankar Melkote (Telugu: శంకర్ మేల్కోటే) is a Telugu comedian, supporting actor and CEO of a marketing company in Hyderabad.He started film career from Jandhyala's Srivariki Premalekha. He acted in 180 Films.He is one of the speaker and writer in Hyderabad Literary Festival. Melkote received the 17th Yudhvir Memorial Award in 2008 for outstanding contribution.

Centuries ago, Sri Raja Keerthi Ravi Varma promises to build a huge temple for a swayambhu idol of Kartikeya if the latter saves his kingdom from drought. It regains normalcy after unexpected rains and Varma constructs a huge temple under the supervision of Vishvakarma. On the night of every Karthika Pournami, huge white light is emitted the temple since its origin and people believed it as Kartikeya's presence and blessings. Since then, Kartikeya was worshiped there on a grand scale till 2012. However the temple was closed due to few circumstances in 2013 and whoever tried to reopen it or know about it died mostly because of a snake bite or an accident making the temple a haunted place.

Radha Mohan and Krishna Veni are a couple leading a miserable marital life due to several misunderstandings and decide to apply for divorce. They die on 14 February 1983 at 10:20 AM near a clock tower on their way to the lawyer's office. Their son, Nageswara Rao, becomes a rich and influential businessman and happens to come across his parents' lookalikes, Nagarjuna and Priya. After befriending them, Rao decides to re-establish them as a couple but is shocked when Nagarjuna introduces his lover, Prema. Rao manages to dissolve the relationship with the help of his personal adviser, Girish Karnad. Unaware of this, Nagarjuna swears not to fall in love with anyone. At the same clock tower, Rao meets Dr. Anjali and falls in love with her at first sight. He helps her in admitting an injured old man to a nearby hospital and donates his blood. The injured man, Chaitanya, is shocked upon seeing the pair as they resemble his deceased parents, Seetharamudu and Ramalakshmi.

Anasuya (Bhumika Chawla) is a young, passionate journalist who joins a local TV news channel as a reporter. She lives with her uncle Joseph (Shankar Melkote) in the city. On her very first assignment she had to go as an undercover, posing as a reporter from a women’s magazine in to expose suspected child labor in a local politician’s house . Anasuya successfully exposes the oppressive working condition of an orphan child called Lakshmi who is forced into menial work at the politician’s house. The politician throws the child out of his house to escape arrest. Anasuya shelters the girl and takes her home. The expose becomes a sensation Anasuya becomes a household name. She also becomes an instant favourite of her boss much to the irritation of her senior colleagues. Around this time a series of murders were baffling the police department. The murderer was taking an internal organ from his victims and leaving a red rose behind. When the police get reluctant to give the press information Anasuya is given the task of be-friending task force officer, Anand (Abbas) who was involved with the investigation, and getting information out of him.

Bala Govind (Allu Arjun) is a program director in MAA TV. His fights for justice regularly get him into trouble. During one of these incidents, he saves a person (Raja Ravindra) from goons while severely thrashing Murugan (Subbaraju), son of the notorious smuggler Tambi Durai (Pradeep Rawat). Fearing retribution from Tambi Durai, the MAA TV crew sends Bala's team to Kullu Manali to shoot a travel episode instead of another team. There, Bala sees Vaishali (Hansika Motwani), who is a sannyasin. It is love at first sight for Bala. Vaishali, though initially apprehensive of Bala falls for him. The head sannyasin of the ashram Rama Prabha (Rama Prabha) unites the couple. However, before Bala is able to return to Hyderabad with Vaishali and marry her, Tambi Durai's henchmen kidnap her and take her his home. Bala returns to Hyderabad and finds that she is with Tambi Durai. The person who was saved by Bala reveals that Vaishali is the daughter of Narayan Patwari (Devan). In order to grab Patwari's property, Tambi Durai killed her parents and his wife (Telangana Shakuntala) performed the marriage of Vaishali with Murugan in front of their dead bodies. However, Vaishali escapes and reaches Kulu Manali. Bala takes the help of Inspector Prasad (Ahuti Prasad) to save Vaishali from their clutches and eventually succeeds in his attempt and marries her.
