Mitwaa or Mitwa (Marathi: मितवा) is a Marathi movie Produced by Sagar Pictures. starring Swapnil Joshi, Sonalee Kulkarni & Prarthana Behere in lead roles. The pair Swapnil Joshi &Sonalee Kulkarni are seen opposite to each other for the first time. For the second heroine, the director claimed for a fresh face. A talent hunt show for the new face was conducted by Swapnil Joshi on Marathi Music channel 9x Jhakaas and Prarthana Behere was selected as the second lead. The film is slated to release on 13 February 2015. Recently a single track "Savar Re Mana", from the film was released which is sung by Swapnil Bandodkar, Janhavi Prabhu Arora & Composed by Nilesh Moharir. The song is trending among the marathi people and has become popular. The second song Satyam Shivam Sundaram from the film was released in ZeeGauravAwards on 26 October. The Movie was Clear Box office hit, Continuing for more than 25 Weeks across Maharashtra.

This film is remake of famous Kannada film Gejje Pooje starring Kalpana. Courtesan Madame Subbalaxmi heads a household where men are not born, but are welcome. Women are not welcome, but their birth is. Subbalaxmi is thrilled when her protege, Sangeeta, gives birth to a baby girl, who they name Chandra. Shortly thereafter they relocate to a small community. Anand (Rajesh Khanna) is a successful businessman with a dark side. He preys on nubile girls and rapes and kills them. These proceedings are video-recorded and watched by his adoptive father and mentor, another deranged woman-hater who, as with Anand, had a disillusioning experience with the female sex in his past. Raibahadur Satpal Singh (Nazir Husain) is killed cold-blooded in a remote village. He is survived by his twin daughters Rekha & Rashmi (both played by Rekha). Rekha manages their business with the help of their chief estate manager Deewan (A. K. Hangal) along with his son and factory manager Kishore (Danny). Rashmi and Kishore are in love with each other which displeases Rekha, who sends Rashmi abroad to attend a painting course. On the other hand, Rekha too is disinterested about her marriage. Meanwhile, driving through their estate, Rekha's car breaks down and is helped by Prem (Shashi Kapoor), with a golden hand for such machines. After a few meets, both fall in love with each other. After a few days, Rekha announces her engagement with Prem to the surprise of everyone around. She also wills to assign the entire estate to Rashmi before engagement. During the engagement, when Rekha's Police Inspector friend Vikas shows up to wish the couple for the occasion, Prem is suspiciously found missing. The next evening, the couple go out to spend private time on a house-boat anchored in a lake on their estate. Later in the stormy night, Rekha finds Prem missing from the boat and starts looking for him. While searching, someone pushes her in the lake, but not before Rekha glimpses the shadow of this person. Everyone at the estate is surprised with the news of Rekha's death. Meanwhile, she survives and reaches the house of her friend Pinky (Aruna Irani). Once there, Rekha learns about Rashmi's arrival for Rekha' funeral, and both plan to investigate the incident. On the other hand, Kishore, Prem and the Police too start their investigation separately to unmask the killer. Meanwhile, when Rashmi (Rekha disguised) meets him, Prem discloses the intense love for Rekha. She finds quite a few on her suspect list. Kishore wills to go to any extent to marry Rashmi. Prem for his suspicious movements. The staff at their estate, like the cook (Jagdeep), house keeper Ambu (Lalita Pawar) et al. The story progresses and after a few thrilling sequences, the murderer is revealed in the climax.

Suraj and Deepak live a poor lifestyle in a village along with their widowed father, who has always taught them to be honest. Reema lives a wealthy lifestyle with her widowed businessman dad, Dinkar, and her grandma. Her dad wants her to marry Vicky, but she dislikes him. On the day of the marriage, while fully dressed as a Hindu bride, Reema plans to run away. It is at this time that she sees a stranger in her house, thinking it is her dad's employee, she tries to run from him, but he catches up with her. He tells her that his name is Suraj alias Surya, an ex-convict, who has just been released from prison. As he had no money, he as unable to eat anything, and hence had broken into their house to steal money and jewelery. While on the run, they are also joined by Hero, who had attempted to rob a bank so that he could go to Bombay and become a movie star. His attempt at robbing the bank had failed and he is now on run from the police. When Dinkar is told that Reema has run away, he contacts a local gangster named Lala and asks him to locate her. Lala, in his turn asks Ranga, one of his hoodlums, to find Reema. Ranga finds out where Reema, Hero and Suraj are holed up. At the same time, Inspector Naik also finds out their whereabouts. But Naik has a different reason for locating them - he has a score to settle with Suraj, and wants Reema for himself. There is no doubt at all that Reema, Suraj and Hero are headed for nothing but trouble, as the gangster and their men on one hand, and Inspector Naik on the other, close in on them, making their escapade virtually impossible.
