Au début du cinéma, il devient monteur et participe à de grandes productions.
En 1948, il fonde sa société de production, Willy-Zeyn-GmbH, où il est à la fois directeur général, producteur et en 1952 également producteur exécutif. Il produit des comédies musicales, des films romantiques et plusieurs films de guerre où l'armée allemande et ses soldats ont un rôle positif.
En 1960, Zeyn perd sa société. Il travaille peu de temps au service d'autres sociétés de production. À l'été 1970, il se retire à Benidorm.

Willy Zeyn est le fils du réalisateur du cinéma muet Willy Zeyn. Il reçoit une formation technique dans le laboratoire Afifa à Berlin. En 1928, il est directeur du laboratoire de la société Exzentrikfilm.Au début du cinéma, il devient monteur et participe à de grandes productions.
En 1948, il fonde sa société de production, Willy-Zeyn-GmbH, où il est à la fois directeur général, producteur et en 1952 également producteur exécutif. Il produit des comédies musicales, des films romantiques et plusieurs films de guerre où l'armée allemande et ses soldats ont un rôle positif.
En 1960, Zeyn perd sa société. Il travaille peu de temps au service d'autres sociétés de production. À l'été 1970, il se retire à Benidorm.

Hanna and her brother Thomas Amon live on the estate of their deceased parents. While Hanna of local veterinary and Thomas Brunner of the mayor's daughter is secretly admired and sought after, the siblings have eyes only for each other. Thomas, however, forfeited the much older, seductive Vera Colombani, a castle owner. He follows her (his sister, defying the warnings) to the south, where they spend the winter. Thomas is dropped in the wake of the Colombani and returns repentant return to the home farm. But when he meets again with his former lover, he triggers a disaster the Colombani and eventually fall victim to Hanna.

The film opens at Potsdam in the time of "The Soldier's King" Friedrich Wilhelm I of Prussia, with the Royal Family sitting at the breakfast table. It turns out that Crown Prince Friedrich, informally called "Fritz", had lost so much money at the gaming tables that he had to sign debentures. Members of the grenadier regiment had seen the crown prince appearing late in a wretched state, which greatly angers his father. The King would like to prepare his son for the future role as a ruler, and regards his preoccupation with music and literature with big displeasure.
