But Urmila's father Shanmukha Sastry (Gollapudi Maruti Rao) has betrayed Ashok's father Vedam (J. V. Somayajulu) and is trying to adopt their whole property pushing them down to below poverty line. Adiseshayya (Narra Venkateswara Rao) and Shanmukha Sastry had planned together and have declared Ashok as a thief and had sent him to jail. After returning from jail, Ashok's father had restricted him to enter into the house. Ashok has now decided to go to any safe place and earn a lot of money due to which he can again be held up his family's pride. In this situation, he comes across Karim Saheeb (Satyanarayana) in Bombay and gets involved in illegal and corrupt activities in the city. Venkataramaiah (Gummadi) respectable person in the society, who runs a timber business. He has a happy joint family with his wife Padmavathi (Jayanthi) and 3 sons & 2 daughters. Anand (Nandamuri Balakrishna) the younger son of Venkataramaiah is a very happy-go-lucky boy. He does not take up any responsibility neither does he earn anything. But he simply wastes his father's money. Accidentally he meets Kavita (Vijayashanti) who works as a dance teacher in a school. They both are very opposite to each other. They always fight with each other. But on a certain occasion Anand falls in love with Kavita but she thinks that he is just trying to fool her. Sivaram (Satyanarayana) opponent businessman to Venkataramaiah, who once worked as a worker under Venkataramaiah, always had quarrels with Venkataramaiah and Anand. After sometime Kavitha understands Anand's love, but his family members did not agree for their marriage, so Anand leaves the house and marries Kavitha. Meanwhile Sivaram throws Venkataramaiah into heavy debts, so entire property comes to the occasion. Remaining children leaves Venkataramaiah alone which leads to his heart attack and his wife's death. Veeranna (Balakrishna) is grandson of Mangamma (Bhanumathi). Anitha is her daughter and Gokina Rama Rao son-in-law. Malli (Suhasini) is their daughter and grand daughter of Mangamma. Mangamma does not like her son in law family resulting in frequent quarrels. But Veeranna and Malli love each other. Yeleswaram Ranga is big rythu of neighbouring village. He does not like Mangamma.
