Synopsis
Marianne, a nightclub dancer, is on the run from vicious criminals. On her 21st birthday, she will inherit a vast fortune as well as some legal papers that will incriminate her father, a crooked judge. When her father invites Marianne to his estate in Portugal, a game of cat-and-mouse begins.Actors

In an isolated farmhouse, a woman named Dorothy Yates lives with her husband. Dorothy has just been released from a mental institution after it was found she was a cannibal who killed and partially ate at least six people in 1957. Her husband, Edmund Yates was convicted as well but we come to find out that he only faked his dementia in order to remain with his wife. He was a truly devoted husband who loved his wife dearly but really had nothing to do with the actual murders in 1957 and in the present.

A anonymous producer assembles a group of unemployed actors and actresses to be in a play, rehearsing in an abandoned theatre beside the sea. A murderer, who wears black gloves, kills all of the actors in various ways. The murderer is later revealed to have previously been an actor, who trapped his wife and her new lover in the wall, re-emerging 30 years later to commit murder again.

Kenneth Magee (Desi Arnaz, Jr.), a young writer, bets $20,000 that he can write a Wuthering Heights-calibre novel in 24 hours. The film opens with Gail Cooper (Holly Palance) traveling to her ex-husband Nick's (Jack Jones) apartment in Los Angeles in order to remove some of its more valuable items. It soon becomes apparent that while Nick (a successful singer) isn't at home, someone is clearly there. The anonymous person watches Gail take a phone call from a reporter asking about the couple's divorce and inquiring as to when Nick will release his next album, as he's been on a six year hiatus since marrying Gail. As the phone call ends and Gail walks around the house she is ambushed and murdered by the person, who is wearing an old lady mask and women's clothing.

Suite à la rupture avec son amant, Jenny Welch vit avec sa sœur Vanessa. Sa vie amoureuse instable la pousse à aller en confessions avec le père Xavier Meldrum à l’Église, recommandé par son ami d'enfance, le prêtre Bernard Cutler. Femme libérée, Jenny est sa nouvelle proie et Meldrum, obsédé par elle, s'immisce dans sa vie privée en la traquant, en la faisant chanter avec ses aveux sur un avortement qu'elle a subi puis en tuant les hommes qu'elle fréquente pour la remettre sur le bon chemin et pour la purifier. Lorsqu’elle comprend qu'il est un psychopathe, personne ne la croit car il est inimaginable qu'un homme de foi puisse être un pervers et un meurtrier.
