Les digimentals dorés, est un court-métrage d'animation, suite de Digimon Adventure: Bokura no Uō Gēmu!, inspiré de la franchise Digimon. Le film, d'une durée d'environ 70 minutes, le plus long des courts-métrages Digimon, est sorti au Japon le 8 juillet 2000.
En occident (Amérique du Nord et Europe), il est combiné avec le premier et le deuxième films de la série afin de former Digimon, le film (les œuvres ayant en plus été grandement remaniées). Le film n'est pas pris en compte dans la chronologie de la série dans la version japonaise ; cependant, la version de Fox Kids essaye de l'intégrer, ce qui entraine des incohérences.
Synopsis
Un enfant, Wallace (Willis dans la version française), court joyeusement à travers une prairie américaine en compagnie de ses deux digimon : Chocomon (Kokomon) et Gummymon. Dans leurs dos, une petite tornade s'élève et lorsque Wallace se retourne, Chocomon a disparu. Quelques années plus tard, Takeru (T.K) et Hikari (Kari) sont venus rendre visite à Mimi à New York lorsqu'ils tombent sur un digimon (il s'agit en réalité de Wendigomon, soit Kokomon transformé) qui fait alors disparaître Mimi ainsi que tous les autres digisauveurs, sauf Takeru, Hikari et la nouvelle génération d'enfants, dans une autre dimension. Les adolescents captifs rajeunissent progressivement et on comprend que Wendigomon est à la recherche de l'enfant qu'était Wallace avant qu'ils ne soient séparés. Daisuke (Davis), Miyako (Yolei) et Iori (Cody) partent à leur tour aux États-Unis pour venir en aide à leurs compagnons. Ils rencontrent en chemin Wallace et son partenaire Terriermon (soit Gummymon transformé) tandis que Takeru et Hikari sont coincés dans un train. Wendigomon attaque le groupe avant de s'enfuir et Wallace finit par avouer pendant la nuit qu'il s'agit bien de son Digimon. Il décide finalement de mettre hors d'état de nuire ce dernier, car devenu trop dangereux pour autrui. Daisuke et les autres promettent de l'aider.Actors

A four-minute short film featuring characters from the Angela Anaconda series appeared before the film in the theatrical and home media releases. In this segment, Angela and her friends line up to watch Digimon: The Movie, but Nannette and her friends cut in line since they have passes. As Angela makes a mad dash to save seats for her friends, Mrs. Brinks (with help from Nannette) sits in front of her, blocking her view. Angela scornfully imagines herself Digivolving into Angelamon to defeat Mrs. Brinks and Nannette, removing all obstacles in enjoying her movie. However, everyone in the audience realizes they are in the wrong movie, so they quickly leave to go to the correct theater, leaving Mrs. Brinks and Nannette behind with the latter covered in food.

A Saiyan space pod flying through space crash-lands on Earth out of which a wounded Broly crawls out, who barely escaped from the "new" planet Vegeta just moments before it was destroyed. The Legendary Super Saiyan reverts to his normal state, then falls into a coma as the crater freezes over him. Seven years later, Goku is deceased having sacrificed his life to save the Earth from Cell. Goten, Trunks, and Videl search for the magical Dragon Balls and encounter the cursed village, Nataday. With the villagers haunted by a supposed monster, they are prompted by their priest to conduct human sacrifice to appease the threat. Goten, Trunks, and Videl devise a plan to bait the supposed monster. However, when Goten inadvertently obstructs the plan, Videl slaps him and he soon begins to cry. The supposed monster, a dinosaur, is drawn out but is quickly vanquished by Goten and Trunks. With the priest exiled and Nataday peaceful, the group depart to continue their Dragon Ball search.

In the Other World, a teenage "oni" guarding a spirit cleansing machine turns the volume of his walkman up so loud that he fails to change the evil essence tank when necessary. Due to the overload of evil essence, the machine explodes and the "oni" is transformed into a huge-childlike monster with power over the laws regarding the worlds of the living and the dead. As a result, both worlds are thrown into chaos: in the living world, several deceased are brought back to life, while in the other world, beings who were allowed to keep their bodies turn into spirits, and vice versa.

On his planet in the Otherworld, King Kai senses the destruction of the South Galaxy by an unknown Super Saiyan, and realizes that the North Galaxy will be next. To this end, King Kai contacts Goku telepathically while he and Chi-Chi are sitting down having an interview inside a private school which they hopefully plan to send Gohan to. Un jour, alors qu'ils sont chez eux, Sangoku et Sangohan s'aperçoivent que toute la végétation est en train de mourir sans raison aucune. Ryu is still contemplating the death of his master, Gouken, while at the same time experiencing trouble with the "Dark Hadou" (殺意の波動, Satsui no Hadō, lit. "Surge of Murderous Intent"), an evil energy which Gouken's brother, Akuma, succumbed to a long time ago. While in the city, Ryu fights off a few agents working for Shadaloo, gaining the attention of Interpol agent Chun-Li, who does some background research and realizes Ryu is the man who beat Sagat, the Muay Thai Champion, many years ago. Durant les vacances d'été, un digimon de type virus fait son apparition sur Internet, ce qui ne manque pas d'inquiéter Koushiro (Izzy dans la version française) qui file alors chez Taichi (Tai) pour lui faire partager sa découverte. Usant de l'ordinateur du père de Taichi et avec l'aide de Gennai, les deux enfants envoie leur partenaires digimon respectifs, Agumon et Tentomon, pour attaquer le nouvel ennemi, qui s'avère être le digimon Keramon. Toutefois, ce dernier se transforme en Infermon qui bat alors les deux monstres. Taichi tente d'appeler des renforts mais Infermon commence à corrompre tout le réseau et la communication devient très compliqué. Il parvient toutefois à contacter Yamato (Matt) et Takeru (T.K.) et très vite, WarGreymon et MetalGarurumon sont envoyés à l'attaque. Infermon se transforme alors à nouveau et devient Diablomon (Diaboromon en version française). À cause d'un geste maladroit de Taichi, la connexion internet est coupée et WarGreymon est alors à la merci du monstre qui s'enfuit une fois le combat terminé. Les enfants apprennent alors que Diablomon a piraté le Pentagone pour envoyer un missile nucléaire qui explosera dans les dix minutes sur une destination inconnue. Le seul espoir d'empêcher cela est de détruire Diablomon.

Un soir, au Highton View Terrace, à Tokyo, un œuf constitué de données virtuelles émane de l'écran d'ordinateur de deux jeunes enfants : Taichi et sa petite sœur Hikari. Peu après, l'œuf éclot et une étrange créature en sort. Le monstre évolue progressivement, devenant de plus en plus gros et puissant (il finit par devenir une sorte de dinosaure jaune), ce qui ne manque pas de poser problème lorsqu'il décide de parcourir la ville avec la petite Hikari sur son dos. Taichi se lance à leur poursuite, constatant les dégâts que la créature a provoqués. C'est alors que dans le ciel, un second œuf, cette fois gigantesque, apparaît et une autre créature, ressemblant à une sorte d'aigle — Parrotmon — surgit alors. Les deux monstres se lancent dans un féroce combat au cours duquel le dinosaure se transforme une nouvelle fois en une créature encore plus impressionnante, Greymon. Taichi et Hikari, ainsi que plusieurs autres enfants, assistent à la lutte. Grâce aux encouragements des deux enfants, l'ennemi est terrassé dans une immense explosion.

The movie starts with Junpei being kidnapped by a member of Strega, Chidori Yoshino, while Makoto and the rest are fighting Takaya, Jin, and the Shadow Arcana Hanged Man. As they're fighting, Makoto is knocked unconscious and sees a vision of Pharos, telling Makoto that he will be leaving despite Makoto's plead for him not to. Awakened, Makoto and his friends succeed in defeating the Shadow Arcana and save Junpei. Following the Shadow's defeat, Takaya and Jin retreat while Chidori is captured by SEES. The next day, Makoto and his friends along with Takeharu Kirijo decide to celebrate their victory for defeating all twelve Shadow Arcana and destroying Dark Hour. However, during the celebration party when the time reaches midnight, the Dark Hour started, shocking them. They then confront Ikutsuki at Tartarus, revealing that he had changed the recordings made by Yukari's father to lead them to defeating the twelve Shadow Arcana, which will bring the end of the world known as "The Fall". Using Aigis' controller, he controls Aigis to capture and crucify all SEES members except Takeharu whom Aigis holds at gunpoint. Takeharu breaks free and shoots Ikutsuki, but he is fatally shot as well by the latter, killing him. Just before Aigis could kill them, she regains control of herself and instead frees her friends. Cornered, Ikutsuki falls to his death from the tower due to his gunshot wound.
