Inspiré de la franchise Digimon, produit par Toei Animation et distribué par Bandai, le film, d'une durée d'environ 20 minutes, suit d'un second intitulé Digimon, Notre jeu de guerre ! en 2000. En occident (Amérique du Nord et Europe), il est combiné avec les deux films suivants de la série afin de former Digimon, le film (les œuvres ayant en plus été grandement remaniées).
Synopsis
Un soir, au Highton View Terrace, à Tokyo, un œuf constitué de données virtuelles émane de l'écran d'ordinateur de deux jeunes enfants : Taichi et sa petite sœur Hikari. Peu après, l'œuf éclot et une étrange créature en sort. Le monstre évolue progressivement, devenant de plus en plus gros et puissant (il finit par devenir une sorte de dinosaure jaune), ce qui ne manque pas de poser problème lorsqu'il décide de parcourir la ville avec la petite Hikari sur son dos. Taichi se lance à leur poursuite, constatant les dégâts que la créature a provoqués. C'est alors que dans le ciel, un second œuf, cette fois gigantesque, apparaît et une autre créature, ressemblant à une sorte d'aigle — Parrotmon — surgit alors. Les deux monstres se lancent dans un féroce combat au cours duquel le dinosaure se transforme une nouvelle fois en une créature encore plus impressionnante, Greymon. Taichi et Hikari, ainsi que plusieurs autres enfants, assistent à la lutte. Grâce aux encouragements des deux enfants, l'ennemi est terrassé dans une immense explosion.Actors

Durant les vacances d'été, un digimon de type virus fait son apparition sur Internet, ce qui ne manque pas d'inquiéter Koushiro (Izzy dans la version française) qui file alors chez Taichi (Tai) pour lui faire partager sa découverte. Usant de l'ordinateur du père de Taichi et avec l'aide de Gennai, les deux enfants envoie leur partenaires digimon respectifs, Agumon et Tentomon, pour attaquer le nouvel ennemi, qui s'avère être le digimon Keramon. Toutefois, ce dernier se transforme en Infermon qui bat alors les deux monstres. Taichi tente d'appeler des renforts mais Infermon commence à corrompre tout le réseau et la communication devient très compliqué. Il parvient toutefois à contacter Yamato (Matt) et Takeru (T.K.) et très vite, WarGreymon et MetalGarurumon sont envoyés à l'attaque. Infermon se transforme alors à nouveau et devient Diablomon (Diaboromon en version française). À cause d'un geste maladroit de Taichi, la connexion internet est coupée et WarGreymon est alors à la merci du monstre qui s'enfuit une fois le combat terminé. Les enfants apprennent alors que Diablomon a piraté le Pentagone pour envoyer un missile nucléaire qui explosera dans les dix minutes sur une destination inconnue. Le seul espoir d'empêcher cela est de détruire Diablomon.

A four-minute short film featuring characters from the Angela Anaconda series appeared before the film in the theatrical and home media releases. In this segment, Angela and her friends line up to watch Digimon: The Movie, but Nannette and her friends cut in line since they have passes. As Angela makes a mad dash to save seats for her friends, Mrs. Brinks (with help from Nannette) sits in front of her, blocking her view. Angela scornfully imagines herself Digivolving into Angelamon to defeat Mrs. Brinks and Nannette, removing all obstacles in enjoying her movie. However, everyone in the audience realizes they are in the wrong movie, so they quickly leave to go to the correct theater, leaving Mrs. Brinks and Nannette behind with the latter covered in food.

A scientist named Dr. Sanjay Mehra (director Rakesh Roshan) creates a computer program from which he sends variations of the syllable om into space, hoping to attract the attention of extraterrestrial life. When he believes he has finally gotten a response, the scientific community mocks him. While driving home, an alien spacecraft appears overhead. Dr. Mehra veers off the road, causing the car to hit a stone, flip over, and explode. Dr. Mehra dies, but his wife survives the wreck and returns home to India. When their son Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) is born, he is mentally disabled. His mother raises him in the town of Kasauli, where he grows up to be a man of limited intellect and childish personality, but with a loving and emotional heart. Rohit has a number of much younger friends: loyal children who play with him.

April O'Neil (Megan Fox), a reporter for Channel 6 Eyewitness News in New York City, investigates a crime wave by criminals called the Foot Clan. The film starts off with a rocket carrying two boys and a robotic dog: Jimmy Neutron (Debi Derryberry), Carl Wheezer (Rob Paulsen) and Goddard (Frank Welker). Jimmy is attempting to launch a communications satellite made out of a toaster, hoping to communicate with an alien species he believes exists somewhere out in the universe. Unknown to anyone, the satellite is picked up near the planet Yolkus, home to an alien race called the Yolkians. King Goobot V (Patrick Stewart) and his assistant, Ooblar (Martin Short), watch a pre-recorded message from Jimmy, featuring him introducing himself and explaining about life on Earth.

Without warning, an alien spaceship attacks a Japanese moon base. Back on Earth, young Kenichi Ishikawa; his father, Dr. Yosuke Ishikawa; his friend Helen; and her father, Dr. Tom Wallace, witness the spaceship descending into the ocean. They go to investigate but are soon captured by a teleportation beam that brings them aboard the spaceship. Inside the spaceship, a human-looking woman appears to them and reveals that she is of a race called Zigra. By way of demonstrating Zigran technological prowess, she creates a gigantic earthquake that wreaks havoc in Japan. She previously caused two other earthquakes, one in Peru and the other in Arabia. She then tells her prisoners of Zigra's history and its great scientific advances—which, unfortunately, have resulted in the destruction of the planet; but in searching for a new home, Zigra has found Earth. The woman contacts authorities on Earth and orders them to surrender or she will kill her prisoners. Tom declares that the Zigran woman is insane, and, in anger, she sends the two men into a hypnotic trance. Kenny and Helen take action, successfully using the ship's control console to escape. Enraged, the Zigran overlord—a strange, shark-like being—orders the woman to go to Earth and kill the children. She says it would be simpler to kill all the people of Japan, but the great Zigra tells her that humans must be preserved so they can be used for food. Now, Gamera, intent on discovering the identity of the alien interloper, flies in to save the day and rescues the children and their fathers. The UN authorities, after questioning Kenichi and Helen, resolve to attack Zigra. The Defense Force jets scramble, but the Zigran spaceship makes short work of them with its powerful lasers. The alien woman, disguised as a normal human, arrives on earth and begins her search for Kenny and Helen. She hitches a ride with the Sea World dolphin trainer back to the facility, which the military is now using as its center of operations. She finds the two children, but before she can catch them, they call out for Gamera, who obediently appears.

In early Victorian England, Matthew Mugg (Anthony Newley) takes his young friend Tommy Stubbins (William Dix) to visit eccentric Doctor John Dolittle (Rex Harrison). Dolittle, a former physician, lives with an extended menagerie, including a chimpanzee named Chee-Chee (Cheeta), a dog named Jip, and a talking parrot named Polynesia (the uncredited voice of Ginny Tyler). Dolittle claims that he can talk to animals. In a flashback, he explains that he kept so many animals in his home that they created havoc with his human patients, who took their medical needs elsewhere. His sister, who served as his housekeeper, demanded that he dispose of the animals or she would leave; he chose the animals. Polynesia taught him that different animal species can talk to each other, prompting Dolittle to study animal languages so that he could become an animal doctor.

While travelling, Hercules is asked to intervene in a quarrel between two brothers, Eteocles and Polynices, over who should rule Thebes. Before he can complete this task, Hercules drinks from a magic spring and is hypnotized by a harem girl who dances the "Dance of Shiva", loses his memory and becomes the captive of Queen Omphale of Lydia. The Queen keeps men until she tires of them, then has them made into statues. While young Ulysses tries to help him regain his memory, Hercules' wife, Iole, finds herself in danger from Eteocles, current ruler of Thebes, who plans on throwing her to the wild beasts in his entertainment arena. Hercules slays three tigers in succession and rescues his wife, then assists the Theban army in repelling mercenary attackers hired by Polynices. The two brothers ultimately fight one another for the throne and end up killing each other; the good high priest Creon is elected by acclaim.
