Donga Dongadi is a 2004 Telugu action comedy film written and directed by Subramaniam Siva, produced by NV Prasad and Sanam Naga Ashok Kumar under Sri Saideva Productions banner and starring Manoj Manchu and Sadha in lead roles. The film soundtrack was composed by Dhina and Cinematography was handled by Ajay Vincent. Dialogues of the movie were written by popular writer Chintapalli Ramana. This film marks the debut of Manoj Manchu as a leading actor. The movie was a remake of Tamil movie Thiruda Thirudi starring Dhanush and Chayasingh directed by Subramaniam Siva. Donga Dongadi was released on 6 August 2004.
Synopsis
Vasu (Manchu Manoj Kumar) is a strong willed reckless guy. He spends most of his time hanging out with his friends, who belong to the same flock. He loves his father (Manikka Vinayagam) and his brother (Rajeev Kanakala) very dearly. His brother is different from him that he is responsible and studious. He ignores his father's words of wisdom and is regularly chided by his father as a good-for-nothing guy. In one such incident he loses the trust and faith of his father as he gets involved in teasing a girl called Vijji (Sadha). That incident makes Vasu realize the importance of having good relationship with his father. But father asks him to prove himself as a responsible man. Vasu travels to Vizag from Tirupati in search of a job. In Vizag, he incidentally meets Vijji again. Meanwhile, there is another girl Pooja (Varshita), who is madly in love with Vasu. With Vasu out to prove a point to his father, finally convinces him and in the process also wins the hand of the heroine. By the end, he also realizes the importance of family values and his love for Vijji.Actors

The plot essentially involves a love story between Ganesha, alias Y. G. Rao, and Adi Lakshmi, alias Shruti, who initially do not know the true identity of each other. Ganesha lives in a Vatara (housing complex) owned by Ramanamurthy. Shastri, known for his love of beer, is his roommate. Ramanamurthy maintains a traditional Hindu middle class household. His elder daughter has eloped with a lover and he does not approve of this. Eventually, he gets her to hold a traditional wedding, even though she has been married already in a civil marriage and has two children, to accept her back as a daughter. In order to prevent a similar fate for his younger daughter, Adilakshmi, he wants to find a match for her to perform an arranged marriage. His friend, Govinda (who is also Ganesha's father), in the meanwhile, arrives in Bangalore from Mysore, with his cricket-crazy wife (played by Vaishali Kasaravalli). Govinda and Ramanamurthy find out that both their children would make a good match for each other and decide to hold an engagement for them.

Avi is an ace photographer who is in a live-in relationship with Sonia, a model. One night while returning from a party, the couple accidentally knocks down a young girl with their speeding car. As Sonia was driving the car, to avoid further complications, Avi insists on them fleeing from the accident scene. But trouble starts for the couple soon after. While strange white marks begin to appear in Avi's photos, Sonia starts having spooky experiences. Akasa Ramanna, the narrator, starts with the story of Teja (Rajiv Kanakala), Raana (Allari Naresh) and Jai (Sivaji), The story also involves P. Thimothy (Venu Madhav) and his lecherous friends. Raana is in search of getting credit of five lakh rupess to help his girl friend Isha (Gowri Pandit). He seeks his friend and a supermarket owner Jai's help. Jai himself being in financial crisis cannot help Raana. He is arrested by police inspector (Rao Ramesh). Two murders happen to spice up the story. Rao Ramesh suspects Teja of the murders. Teja is introduced to the concept of the inescapable trap of 'karma' by a fake god-man Swamiji (Raghu Babu), in the local bar. In some minutes, the 'godman' is punished with death by 'karma,'. At the other end of the spectrum are, Raana and Jai, who are taken for a ride by a treacherous woman. Raana is in dire need of the money, while Jai mysteriously needs the same amount. Thimothy and gang are on their way to spend the night with their favourite whore. Meanwhile, Teja hits a person while driving the car in a drunken state. There is a terrible link between the two and the story rocks back and forth within a 40 minute duration leading to revealing the suspense. The entire film runs around just seven characters and is based on an incident that takes place at 12:40.
