Media and Windows Productions and distributed by Eros International . The film brought back Satyajit Ray's iconic Ghare Bhaire pair, Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta on the big screen after 30 years. Besides Soumitra Chatterjee and Swatilekha Sengupta in lead roles, the film also stars Rituparna Sengupta, Aparajita Auddy, Monami Ghosh, Indrani Dutta, Sohini Sengupta, Kharaj Mukherjee, Anindya Chatterjee, Barun Chanda, Sohag Sen, Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee and Shankar Chakraborty in pivotal roles. The film was released on May 1, 2015 in West Bengal and on 26th June 2015 in other startes of India.
Synopsis
Biswanath Mazumdar (Soumitra Chatterjee) shocks his son and daughter-in-law (Shankar Chakraborty and Indrani Dutta), three daughters (Rituparna Sengupta, Aparajita Auddy and Monami Ghosh) and their husbands (Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee, Kharaj Mukherjee and Anindya Chatterjee) by announcing his decision to divorce his wife, Aarti (Swatilekha Sengupta) after 49 years of marriage. The rest of the story follows an emotional re-discovery of the institution of marriage.Actors

A renowned gynaecologist, Dr Kingshuk Guha (Debshankar Haldar), finds himself in a professional crisis when one of his patients, Kabita Mondol (Sohini Sengupta), dies on the operating table while he is away buying a luxury apartment for his family. Kabita’s enraged husband (Biswanath Basu) and relatives attempt to mob the hospital. On hearing the news, Kingshuk’s wife, Rumi (Rituparna Sengupta), rushes to the hospital to be with her husband. After all this Rajnarayan decides to take up a part-time job. Tuhin's wife insults him and his wife. She also starts conspiring with his mother. Rajnarayan's wife has a cerebral attack and becomes a paraplegic.Tushar and his father take care of her. Rajnarayan again asks his elder son to return all the money. His son asks him to come to his office. When he goes there he is insulted by an employee. Rajnarayan Babu searches frantically for a job but does not succeed. Rajnarayan starts pulling carts. Tushar has a quarrel with his brother over this. Rajnarayan's wife soon passes away. Finally Tuhin realises his fault and teaches his wife a good lesson.

It is the story of a music lover named Kishore (Prosenjit Chatterjee), he belonged to a poor family. He wanted to learn music from a person named Shankar Maharaj (Soumitra Chatterjee), who stopped teaching music because his students ditched him after learning music and violated his instructions. His daughter Ontora (Rituparna Sengupta) helped Kishore to learn music by employing him as a maid in their house. They fell in love with each other. When Shankar Maharaj, came to know about the fact, he asked Kishore to break this relation as a token of his teaching. After sometime, the student who violated the instruction of Shankar Maharaj released an audio cassette & she hired Kishore as the music teacher. To prove her wrong, he started singing but fell ill in the midst of the song. Then Kishore came & completed the song & gave his required token as a teacher. Kishore & Shankar Maharaj's son become united again.

The Sanyals are a large extended family composed of the nonagarian grandfather, (Haradhan Banerjee), his son (Ranjit Mullick), daughter-in-law (Laboni Sarkar) who rules over the house like a female Hitler, reincarnated, and their children of whom two, a daughter (Koel Mallick) and son (Rishi Kaushik) live together in a beautiful mansion in Bhawanipur. There seems to be more servants in their house than family members, extending the virtues and parameters of the ideal ‘joint’ family. The film starts with everyone being excited about the return of the elder son (Babul Supriyo) from US, where he had gone for some business related work. However, all hell breaks loose, when he returns with a wife (Rituparna Sengupta) and her child from a former marriage in tow. Her first husband with underworld links was killed in police crossfire. Everyone accepts the new additions to the Sanyal family except the mother-in-law who refuses to even acknowledge her presence. The story revolves around how these two women build bridges to keep the joint family intact, with most of the credit going to the beautiful daughter-in-law who can sing, dance, cook, clean, supervise, nurse and even do matchmaking in her own way – in short, being politically appropriate and offering a perfect celluloid example of a matrimonial ‘bride wanted’ classified ad.
