Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharnii (English: What you sow, you shall reap) is a 1989 Indian film directed and produced by Vimal Kumar. It stars Govinda and Kimi Katkar in pivotal roles.
Synopsis
The movie revolves around the fact that you reap what you sow. Gangaram Verma has worked for the local municipality for several years, and is known in the community for being honest. Many contractor's have attempted to bribe him but never succeeded. During a felicitation ceremony for GangaRam, he rejects a garland of 1Lac rupees from one of the contractor's Prem Kumar. So Prem kumar decides to teach Gangaram a lesson. He hires Gangaram's only son, Vijay (who worships Lakshmi and hates being poor), in his office, and subsequently gets him married to his only daughter, Sapna. In course of time, they have a son Ravi. They then scheme to get Gangaram to trust them by showing Ravi, and upon doing so, they get him to sign his property to them As Ravi gets more attached to grandparents and also because Vijay and Sapna have got the property they make Gangaram and his wife, Laxmi, homeless. They then lie to Ravi that his grandparents are dead. Years go by, then one day Ravi comes across a coolie who resembles his grandfather.Actors

Shaadiram Gharjode (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) is once humiliated by Hoshiyar Chand (Kader Khan) when Shaadiram goes to inform him about a family wanting to marry their son to Hoshiyar's daughter. Hoshiyar Chand insults them as he wants both his daughters to marry into the richest family. Gharjode decides to teach Hoshiyar Chand a lesson: He meets a coolie called Raju (Govinda) and they go to Hoshiyar Chand's village pretending to be a rich family. Hoshiyar is impressed and he wants his daughter Malti (Karisma Kapoor) to marry Raju. This leads to humorous situations in the climax.

Shastri Suri (Shreeram Lagoo) comes from a middle-class yet honest background. He has raised his son, police inspector Siddhant Suri (Govinda) and daughter Bindiya and second son Nandu (Rajoo Shrestha) in a similar way. But Nandu has fallen into bad company. He is in debt and unable to repay his debt, therefore, he decides to rob, and does so at the house belonging to Pooja (Karisma Kapoor), when Pooja confronts him, he attacks her and as a result Pooja loses her sight. A blind Pooja subsequently weds Siddhant, not knowing that her assailant is her brother-in-law. Shastriji's employee Kanhaiyalal (Kader Khan) is greedy and ambiguous. When Shastriji stands for election, he is opposed strongly by a corrupt and avarious, Adarsh Vardhan (Shakti Kapoor). By hook and crook, Adarsh wins the election, and decides to humiliate the Suri family. He asks that his body-guard be none other Siddhant Suri. Siddhant must now choose between staying with the police force and serving his corrupt master.

Shyamsunder (Govinda) is a naive villager who has a great interest in music. He travels to the city, making friends with Muthuswami (Satish Kaushik), a South Indian tabla player. The president of the TIPS cassette company, Khurana (Kader Khan), is impressed with his musical abilities and promotes him to a high position. As he goes back to repay his debts in the village he receives tragic news of the death of his wife Pooja (Karisma Kapoor) has died in a flood. He then marries Khurana's daughter Divya (Tabu). When Khurana has a heart attack, he finds his "presumed dead" wife Pooja in the hospital. He then has to fool his two wives, even if it includes leading a double life to make sure Pooja and Divya don't discover he has married both of them.

Dr.Sandeep Kumar (Jeetendra), Inspector Ranjith (Rajinikanth) & Advocate Prakash (Rishi Kapoor) are thickest, best & childhood friends, the three of them grew up together because Prakash is often and Ranjith’s father Daga (Amrish Puri) is a smuggler who left him alone because of his honesty and took his mother & sister with him so Sandeep’s parents (Pran & Shavukar Janaki) brought them up. Ranjith is an honest police officer, Sandeep is a well known doctor in the city, Prakash is a leading criminal lawyer three of them has always clash with Daga who became a big gangster and doesn’t know that Ranjith is his son. Ranjith & Prakash always carrels with Sandeep because the only problem with Sandeep is he is very short temper, he cannot withstand himself if somebody does any injustice to anyone. One day Daga’s gangster (Guru Bachan) kidnaps and rapes Ranjith’s wife Lata (Poonam Dhillon) who is pregnant which is seen by Sandeep and he bits him very hard and takes promise from Lata that she does not reveal this secret. Daga takes advantage of this he kills the gangster and traps Sandeep in that case. Ranjith arrests Sandeep and Prakash takes up the case but Sandeep doesn’t reveal the truth to protect Lata so Prakash makes a story that Sandeep has made the crime to protect his wife to save him, he brings a girl Rekha (Bhanu Priya) as Sandeep’s wife whom Sandeep has protected from few gangsters once a while. Meanwhile Sandeep loves and really marries Rekha and Prakash also loves a thief Shanthi (Kimi Katkar) whose brother is killed by Daga and for whom she is under search. At the end Ranjith comes know the truth, he accepts Lata even though she got raped and he recognizes Daga is his father and Rekha is his sister whom Daga left in streets in the childhood. Finally Sandeep, Ranjith & Prakash join together and defeat Daga.

Ganga (Govinda) and Gauri (Karishma Kapoor) are in love but the young lovers are not permitted to marry. One night they run away, finding themselves in the den of an evil sage (Puneet Issar) who is trying to coerce the Lord of the Snakes (Nitish Bharadwaj) into giving him a gem he needs to make the nectar which will give him immortality. This event can only happen on this one night of the full moon, which comes only once ever twenty five years. But the young lovers defend the Snake and destruct the Sage's plan. The angry sage turns Gauri to a stone and unable to withstand the shock, Gangwa passes away. But the magical snake saves the day by proclaiming that Gangwa will be reborn, still with love in his heart for Gauri, and twenty five years later they will find each other again.

Raja Babu (Govinda) is a poor orphan adopted by a wealthy village couple (Kader Khan and Aruna Irani). He is a typical country bumpkin, good-hearted but lacking in urban manners. His vanity, not discouraged by his mother's doting, leads him to have his photograph taken often at the village photo studio, each time in a different outfit. He is always accompanied by his sidekick Nandu, (Shakti Kapoor). Sooraj (Sooraj Pancholi) is a gangster from Mumbai who meets Radha (Athiya Shetty), daughter of city's Chief of Police during a party . Sooraj, under instructions from his gangster father, Pasha (Aditya Pancholi), kidnaps Radha because Radha's father brought evidence against Pasha in court, and kidnaps Radha in the guise of a police officer, by telling her that he received instructions from the police to take her away from city as there is a threat that Pasha and his gang will kidnap Radha unless they move for some time. During these days they slowly fall in love. One day the police tracks them and Sooraj and Radha escape but Sooraj is shot in the arm when trying to jump over a broken bridge and they both fall in water . Later they are rescued by a group of monks but it is said that Radha and Sooraj are dead to Radha's father. Sooraj is unconscious . After a couple of days Sooraj is conscious when Radha tells about her love to him. Later he confesses to Radha that he had kidnapped her. Radha has however fallen in love with Sooraj. Radha tells Sooraj to surrender and Sooraj is sent to jail for 2 years . During that time Radha's brother Dheeraj (Sharad Kelkar) asks her to go to Paris .
