Kasme Vaade (Devnagari: कस्मे वादे) is a 1978 Hindi film produced and directed by Ramesh Behl. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Raakhee, Neetu Singh, and Amjad Khan. Randhir Kapoor earned a Filmfare nomination as Best Supporting Actor, the only nomination for the film. Rekha makes a guest appearance as a dancer. The music is by R. D. Burman and the lyrics by Gulshan Bawra. The film was declared a "semi hit" by Box Office India.
The film was later remade in Telugu titled "Chesina Basalu" in 1980 starring Shobhan Babu, Jayaprada and Madhavi and was also remade into Tamil as "Dharmathin Thalaivan" in 1988 starring Rajinikanth, Prabhu, Suhasini and Kushboo in the lead and was also remade into Sinhala as "Nawatha Hamuwemu" in 1986 starring Vijaya Kumaranatunga, Malini Fonseka, Sanath Gunathilaka and Sabeetha Perera.Synopsis
Suman (Raakhee) and Amit (Amitabh Bachchan) love each other and plan to marry soon. Amit lives with his younger brother, Raju (Randhir Kapoor), and Raju already calls Suman "Bhabhi". Amit teaches in college, but Raju is unemployed and a little bit spoiled by Amit and Suman's pamperings.
