Synopsis
The film begins with Annamalai (Jayaram) who is a ghost trying to talk to his son Pasupathy (Jayaram) but nobody has been able to see or hear him since his death. Pasupathy is a taxi driver and he is in love with the lawyer Vaanathi (Manya). Aavudaiyappan (Vadivelu), a con medium, becomes the only one who can hear Annamalai. After being annoyed by Annamalai, Aavudaiyappan finally decides to help him. They meet Pasupathy but Pasupathy seems to hate his deceased father.Actors

Raghava (Lawrence Raghavendra) is a typical jobless youth who spends his days playing cricket with friends. He suffers from an irrational fear of ghosts, and retreats to the safety of his home after sunset. His fear is so great he prefers to sleep with his mother (Kovai Sarala) and have her accompany him to the bathroom at night. This creates major annoyance in the household, including Raghava's brother (Sriman), sister-in-law (Devadarshini) and their children.

Ganesh (Raghava Lawrence), a young man with a deep fear of ghosts who refuses to even go out after 6pm, moves into a new house with his mother, father and wife not knowing that it is the residence where Muni met his death and where his spirit now resides. Muni enter Ganesh's body and Ganesh starts behaving in a rude manner, his family couldn't understand why his behaviour is weird so they seek the help of a priest (Nasser). Priest asks the ghost about his whereabouts. Ghost says that he is Muniyaandi and starts saying his flashback. Muniyaandi was a kind-hearted poor man living in the slums with his daughter and other people. Muni's friend is Marakka Dhandapani MLA who uses Muni to make him win in elections and promising that he would give lands to poor people. Dhandapani wins the election but he cheats Muni. Muni fights with Dhandapaani but he kills both him and his daughter. Dhandapaani lies to poor people saying that Muni and his Daughter had fled with the money he had given Muni for the welfare of the village residents. Ganesh accepts Muni and he enters his body. Ganesh enters Dhandapaani's household and terrorizes him and his assistants. Dhandapaani comes to know that the spirit of Muni resides in Ganesh's body so he sets a contract killer (Rahul Dev) to finish him. In the climax, at Ayyanaar temple Dhandapaani confesses to people that he only killed Muni. Muni talks to people and eats the feast prepared by his people. Muni then resides again in Ganesh and finishes off Dhandapaani. Ganesh comes back to normal.

The film begins with a couple visiting a friend's home for dinner. To their surprise, the hosts are not home and the place is haunted. In the present, Raghava (Raghava Lawrence) works for the channel Green TV as a cameraman where his crush Nandini (Tapsee Pannu) also works. When Green TV drops down to second position in the ratings, Nandini advises to shoot a horror program to bring their channel back to the No.1 spot. After the board members agree on this plan, Nandini decides on a location with a house with an intense haunted look, without knowing the fact that it is actually haunted. She sets out with Raghava, his watchman Mayil (Mayilsamy), Dr. Prasad (Sriman) and the anchor Pooja (Pooja Ramachandran) to complete the task.

Mukundan Unni (Jayaram) is a tantrik magician and an exorcist. He is not really keen about his father's tantrik magic skills and is wiling away his time with two dumb cronies in a remote village. There he meets a girl named Malu (Poonam Bajwa), who has no memories about her past but falls pretty easily for the hero after a couple of songs. But they get separated soon after. Some years later, he is called by a wealthy family to exorcise a spirit called Rukku(Muktha George) from their palatial house, Shenoy Mandir. There he comes across Malu again under the name Chandana. He vows to get her back after she fails to recognise him. Mukundan then remembers his father's teachings and starts learning from the ancient thalliyolas passed from generation to generation. He manages to bring Malu (Rukku) to the manthrakallam. Here he finds out about Rukku's past; a girl from a poor background who loved a person from the Shenoy Mandir. When the three brothers in the Shenoy Mandir got to know of the affair, they killed of Rukku's family and burnt Rukku alive. Her lover, horrifyed at the sight, jumped into the flames and committed suicide. Since then Rukku became a vengeful soul and killed two of the three brothers. Mukundan was just about trap Rukku into a wooden doll when the Shenoy family came in, interrupting the pooja and freeing Rukku, who onece more possesses Malu. One night Malu(Rukku) tries to kill the third brother. But she is stopped by Mukundan and is exorcised, freeing her from the world. Without asking for anything in return, Mukundan starts to leave. Just as he was about to leave, the third brother gives Malu to Mukundan.

A boss and his employees go on an excursion to Cheung Chou, an island off the coast of Hong Kong. Beauty consultants Sun and Aki are sent to their company's new branch in Shenzhen to be the branch managers. They discover later that their boss had lied to them and they were actually used by him to explore business opportunities in that region. They go to the disco after work and meet a strange man called Mr Cheng. Cheng requests their services for his wife, saying that it is inconvenient for her to travel to their centre. Sun takes up the offer and follows Cheng home because she is attracted by his wealth. However, she is shocked to discover that the Cheng couple are actually ghosts and she flees in horror. The Chengs are unhappy with Sun for discontinuing her service, because she had already accepted their "payment". They threaten Sun to fulfil her promise or they will turn nasty. Meanwhile, the Lai brothers unknowingly opened a disco during the Hungry Ghost Festival and now they have attracted a large number of phantom patrons. Sun and the Lais seek help from Mrs Bud Lung, an expert ghostbuster, to deal with the spiritual beings.
