An orphan boy, Sunil, wanders through Delhi looking for a job. When selling balloons, he sees a girl and gives her a free balloon. A few days later, during a storm, the girl finds the boy getting soaked and gives him an umbrella. The umbrella blows into a place nearby, where the girl's parents are headed. The boy stops their car and tells them about the dangerous path ahead destroyed by the storm. As the boy has rescued the girl's parents, he gets adopted by them. They name the boy "Atithi", which means "guest".

Bangaram (Jagapati Babu) loses his memory in a childhood traumatic incident and is raised by the evil Rudra (Ashish Vidyarthi), who strictly keeps him in a cage in a cellar of his house and raises him into a ruthless fighter who is otherwise quite unkempt and uncivilized, cannot even speak properly, and eats just raw meat. Rudra uses him human bomb when he gets into problems to fight to kill. When Rudra takes off the holy Hindu wedding chain (Mangalsutra) tied to his right hand, off goes Bangaram like a raging bull, an unstoppable machine using the only ultimate weapon he knows: his body. He also uses him to make money by entering him in an underground fight club where the winner is the one who survives.

The plot starts with a man returning home late night. He passes through the graveyard; on the way to home and he finds a ghost mistaken for a woman and follows her. He is killed by a group of ghosts. Scene moves to a happily living couple Murali and Sindhu (Jayasudha), who lives with their 3 years old son Chinni (Master Ravi Chandra Padmala) and Sindhu's sister Mahi (Maheswari). They plan to buy an estranged new farm house, which is near to graveyard. Sindhu's sister Mahi (Maheswari) always roams with her boyfriend Narsing (J. D. Chakravarthy). The problem comes when Sindhu's son starts making imaginary friends in their new home. It is later revealed that his "imaginary friends" are ghosts. Sequence of events happens showing the essence of ghosts in the house. Things become much worsen when Chinni will become prey to the ghosts. Sindhu sees the ghost of Chinni and feels that he is still alive. In the meantime, Narsing once while waiting for Mahi in the night near the graveyard road, mistakes Ghost to mahi. However, he survives from there. Later he comes to know from his friends that a builder built the farm house on the land of graveyard. Narsing understands that Mahi's family is in big trouble. He warns Mahi to move away from that house immediately. But Mahi being from an atheist family doesn't cares about his words. The ghosts continues to kill the family members one after the another. At last, Mahi and Narsing tries to escape from the ghosts but when they return home, they find that all the protagonists became ghosts . This is a story set to pre-independence period in India. A village landlord Kanakayya (Rao Gopal Rao) marries Sita (Jayasudha), who is young enough to be his daughter, with the help of village karaNam (Nutan Prasad). However, he restricts her a lot after the marriage. Sita's brother Bangaram (Chalam) comes from the town and eyes Bangari (Reshmi Roy), Kanakayya's deaf and dumb servant Devudu's (Chandramohan) sister. Bangari is in love with Narasimha (Chiranjeevi), another servant of Kanakayya. Bangaram rapes Bangari. Kanakayya suspects that Sita is in love with Devudu, and in a fit of rage, he kills them both one day. People revolt against Kanakayya and kill him at the end.
