Synopsis
Un groupe d'humains, Dylan Hunt le commandant, Harper-Smythe la scientifique et Baylok le spécialiste des communications sont réveillés de l'animation suspendue et se retrouvent au 22e siècle sur Terre. Alors qu'ils parcourent la surface de la planète dans un engin motorisé, ils découvrent une civilisation où les femmes contrôlent la planète et les hommes sont devenus des esclaves. D'abord capturé, leur chef Hunt est vendu comme esclave puis prend la tête de la révolte masculine.Actors

Bill et Myrtle Moon, un couple âgé, patrons d'une épicerie-station-service d'un village de Caroline du Sud, sont braqués et froidement abattus par Rudolph Tyner, un petit voyou un peu retardé. Celui-ci, qui a déjà un casier judiciaire, est immédiatement appréhendé par la police qui le trouve en possession d'une petite somme d'argent correspondant à la recette de l'épicerie et d'une cartouche de fusil. Son avocat plaide la culpabilité, Tyner est condamné à la chaise électrique, mais d'appel en appel, sa peine est constamment reportée (il n'y a pas eu d'exécution capitale depuis vingt ans en Caroline du Sud). Excédé par cette procédure qui s'éternise alors qu'il attendait une exécution exemplaire, Tony Cimo, le fils adoptif de Bill Moon, d'abord hostile aux suggestions d'auto-justice qui lui sont faites par un adepte, en vient à les accepter. Par la bande, il entre en contact téléphonique avec Lamar Sands, un prisonnier chargé de la maintenance du pénitencier où est incarcéré Tyner. Sands, moyennant finances, accepte de liquider Tyner et, après de vaines tentatives d'empoisonnement, lui fait exploser la tête avec un poste de radio bidouillé avec une charge de plastic. La police découvre dans l'atelier de la prison l'enregistrement de l'un des entretiens téléphoniques de Sands avec Tony. Ce dernier est rapidement arrêté et condamné à une réclusion de 5 ans pour complicité de meurtre, plus 8 pour préméditation et usage d'explosif, et encore 8 pour non-dénonciation d'acte criminel, mais n'en purgera finalement que 3. À la suite de cette affaire, la Caroline du Sud rétablit la peine capitale.

Brother George is the only monk at the Italian Monastery who knows the secret recipe of the popular liqueur that is the sole source of income for the monastery. When he feels their sole distributor, a local wine merchant, isn't giving the Monastery a fair price, he leaves and moves to Australia. The farmers of the peaceful planet Akir are threatened by the space tyrant Sador (John Saxon) and his army of mutants, the Malmori. Sador's huge ship carries a weapon called a "Stellar Converter", which turns planets into small stars. He threatens to use the Converter unless the planet submits to him when he returns in several days. Zed (Jeff Corey), the last Akira warrior, is old and nearly blind. He suggests they hire mercenaries to protect the planet. Lacking valuable resources, they can only offer food and shelter in payment. Unable to go himself, Zed offers his ship, which has an artificial intelligence navigation and tactical computer named Nell, for the job if they can find a pilot. The ship is fast and well-armed but cannot defeat Sador alone. Shad (Richard Thomas), a young man who has piloted the ship and is well known to Nell, volunteers for the recruiting mission.

In the opening scene, a person goes missing on Los Angeles, California's Venice Beach; a middle-aged woman named Ruth who is walking her dog is suddenly pulled under the sand of the deserted beach by an unseen force. The woman's screams for help are heard by Harry Caulder, a harbor patrol officer who is taking a swim in the ocean just offshore. Harry calls the police to Ruth's disappearance but the two LAPD detectives, Royko and Piantadosi, claim that without a body there is not much they can do.
