Produced by Studio 9, Sri Green Productions and Vijay Antony Film Corporation, the film is named after the character Salim that Vijay Antony enacted in his debut film Naan (2012).The film released on 29 August 2014 to positive reviews from critics and become 'Hit' at the box office.
Synopsis
Salim (Vijay Antony) is an honest and simple doctor working in a private hospital, he often goes out of his ways to help the needy patients that come to him. His talent and nature earn wrath and jealousy from his coworkers at the hospital. One fine day, he learns that someone is stalking him. He finds that it is Nisha (Aksha Pardasany) his suitor, doing a background check on his character. Salim directly goes to Nisha and gives his personal diary for her to learn more about him. This response from him impresses Nisha so much and she falls in love with Salim. As their relationship progresses, she learns that Salim has dedicated himself to his work, so much that he always fails to take care of her and spend time with her and this leads to a rift forming between them. So to reconcile with Nisha, Salim plans to spend a whole day with her. They go to a movie theatre and some goons tease Nisha, but Salim, instead of fighting them, chooses to take Nisha and leave the place. Nisha gets offended by this and she chooses to ignore Salim and his phone calls from then on.Actors

Karthik(Vijay Antony) is a brilliant student. The school head master catches him once for forging the signature of his friend's parent in the mark sheet. The head master sends for his father. He goes back to his house and knocks the door, but there is no response. So he peeps through the window and is shocked to find his mom with his uncle. His mother opens the door and pleads him not to tell his father, but he does and so his father commits suicide. Karthik's mother continues her relationship which leads Karthik to kill his mother and his uncle by setting the house in fire. He is sent to juvenile home where he grows up. On release, the jail warden gives him the address of his uncle (father's younger brother) and asks him to concentrate on his studies. He goes to this address and realises that his uncle's wife is not interested in giving shelter to Karthik. So he leaves to Chennai by bus to start a new life.

Arjun (Nani), an engineering college student longs for a bike. However, his father (Ahuti Prasad) does not fulfill his wish. Mahesh (Tanish) hailing from a middle-class family has two sisters. His father (Kasi Viswanath) is a retired man and his family survives on his pension. Mahesh wants to help his father and searches for a job. He gets a job in Kapil Chit Funds as a collection agent, but the manager puts a condition that Mahesh should have a two-wheeler. Mahesh's mother (Tulasi) sells off some silver articles and he purchases a biketo join for the job. One day, Mahesh's father suffers a stroke, and Mahesh loses his bike while bringing medicines. Though he lodges a police complaint it is of no avail. Mahesh goes jobless without the bike. One day Mahesh finds Arjun riding his bike and they fight with each other for the bike. Mahesh learns that Arjun has purchased the bike at chor bazaar after winning a bike race. They finally come to an understanding on the advice of a priest to use the bike to suit the convenience of each other by dividing the day. They keep their promise and use the bike judiciously.

Years have passed since Yuri Boyka suffered a humiliating defeat and a broken knee at the hands of George "Iceman" Chambers. Humbled by his injury, he has relegated to becoming the prison janitor. Meanwhile, mob boss Gaga has expanded his prison tournament enterprise into an inter-prison tournament called the Prison Spetz Competition (PSC), which gathers the best prison fighters from around the globe to compete for a chance at a cleared record and early release. A group of terrorists led by Commander Topov (Zahary Baharov) kidnap the Ukrainian prime minister's son and daughter and hold them hostage, demanding the release of their imprisoned comrades within 72 hours. In addition, they have taken over the crippled Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and threaten to detonate it if their demands are not met. It is revealed that among the ranks of the terrorists is an experimental Next-Generation UniSol (NGU) (Andrei "The Pit Bull" Arlovski), who was smuggled in by rogue scientist Dr. Colin (Kerry Shale). U.S. forces join up with the Ukrainian army at the plant, but quickly retreat when the NGU slaughters most of them effortlessly. Dr. Porter (Garry Cooper), Dr. Colin's former colleague on the Universal Soldier program, revives four UniSols to take down the NGU, but they are systematically eliminated.

While moving a train pulled by engines #777 and #767 at the Veteran Allegheny and West Virginia Railroad (AWVR) trainyard in the fictional city of Fuller Pennsylvania, the two hostlers Dewey and Gilleece take ill-advised shortcuts and accidentally allow the engine to leave the trainyard on its own power without the air brakes engaged. Initially believing the train to be a "coaster", yardmaster Connie Hooper orders Dewey, Gilleece, and chief welder Ned Oldham to drive and catch up the train to stop it. When Oldham finds that the train has already past where it was supposed to be, they realize that the train is running on full power and now poses a dangerous threat. Dewey and Gilleece manage to catch up to 777 using a high-railing truck, but fail to board the train in time. Hooper alerts Oscar Galvin, director of operations for AWVR, as well instructs the local and state police and sheriffs to secure all the grade crossings to prevent injury. Visiting Federal Railroad Administration safety inspector Scott Werner finds that 8 cars being pulled by 777 contain molten phenol which would be a major disaster if the train should crash or derail in a populated area. News of the runaway train soon becomes a media event.
