Synopsis
La doctoresse Bannister est vieille et défigurée. Elle est convoquée par un collègue qui a découvert un sérum qui a la particularité de rajeunir les humains. L’expérimentation sur un chien donne entière satisfaction , le sérum faisant effet seulement après quelques secondes de l'injection mais le cobaye développe, comme effets secondaires, de l'agressivité.Actors

Après la mort de l'animateur Duncan Mackay, c'est Arnold Gardner, 40 ans, qui lui succède à la présentation du talk-show «The Twenty-fifth Hour» devenant très populaire. Son ami d'enfance, Eddie Greenberg, malade, rancunier est jaloux de la renommée atteinte par Arnold veut lui nuire en lui demande de faire la confession publique d'un lourd secret « péché de jeunesse ». Dante est chargé de la diffusion d'un livre d'auteur dont le sujet traite de familles de la noblesse et qui est destiné précisément à celles qui y sont mentionnées, mais il ne trouve que celle du marquis Zanotti. Il entre dans la villa, mais le marquis Ignace, vient de mourir et tous les parents sont à son chevet. Ilaria la fille du marquis s'empresse d'inviter Dante à dîner. Au même moment, l'auteur du livre est tué, les livres brûlés et deux meurtres sont commis dans la villa. Pour démêler l'affaire, la famille fait appel au détective privé Martini dont la première mesure est d'enfermer tout le monde à l'intérieur de la villa, mais les meurtres continuent...

Stefano (Lino Capolicchio) arrives in a village of the Valli di Comacchio area where he has been employed to restore a fresco depicting what appears to be the martyring of Saint Sebastian, which has been painted on a rotting wall of the local church by a mysterious, long-dead artist. While temporarily taking up residence in the house that had been previously owned by the two sisters of the deceased painter, Stefano begins a romance with a new, beautiful schoolteacher, Francesca (Francesca Marciano), meanwhile learning from various townspeople that the painter had been a madman who had derived his art from real life. Specifically, Stefano learns that the artist — assisted by his two equally-insane sisters — had been a killer who brutally tortured people through to death as inspiration for his horrific paintings — a practice that had likely been used for the very painting he is in process of restoring. As Stefano is discouraged for his task throughout the town, some of the villagers are brutally killed — including his employer — and he comes to suspect that their murderer is trying to deter him from discovering the full truth behind the artist and his ominous legacy within the sleepy community.

Paola (Cassini) is in a deteriorating marriage with Bernard (Galeazzo Bentivoglio). After the couple move to an island in the Caribbean, Paola befriends a local woman named Stella (Beryl Cunningham) who introduces her to the cult of the serpent god Djamballà. Paola, first despising the rituals of the cult, soon realises that they represent the passion and lust lacking in her married life. Venue dans la ville de Davenport pour y ouvrir un restaurant, une séduisante italienne se voit obligée d'interrompre ses projets en raison du suicide de son mari. Souffrant d'une grave dépression, cette femme est internée dans un hôpital psychiatrique du Minnesota. Elle y restera pendant 15 ans.
