Synopsis
Après la mort de l'animateur Duncan Mackay, c'est Arnold Gardner, 40 ans, qui lui succède à la présentation du talk-show «The Twenty-fifth Hour» devenant très populaire. Son ami d'enfance, Eddie Greenberg, malade, rancunier est jaloux de la renommée atteinte par Arnold veut lui nuire en lui demande de faire la confession publique d'un lourd secret « péché de jeunesse ». Arnold résiste autant que possible mais Eddie pour « avoir sa tête » se met à tuer afin de montrer sa détermination et finalement Arnold révèle son secret à la télévision...Actors

Dante est chargé de la diffusion d'un livre d'auteur dont le sujet traite de familles de la noblesse et qui est destiné précisément à celles qui y sont mentionnées, mais il ne trouve que celle du marquis Zanotti. Il entre dans la villa, mais le marquis Ignace, vient de mourir et tous les parents sont à son chevet. Ilaria la fille du marquis s'empresse d'inviter Dante à dîner. Au même moment, l'auteur du livre est tué, les livres brûlés et deux meurtres sont commis dans la villa. Pour démêler l'affaire, la famille fait appel au détective privé Martini dont la première mesure est d'enfermer tout le monde à l'intérieur de la villa, mais les meurtres continuent...

Venue dans la ville de Davenport pour y ouvrir un restaurant, une séduisante italienne se voit obligée d'interrompre ses projets en raison du suicide de son mari. Stefano (Lino Capolicchio) arrives in a village of the Valli di Comacchio area where he has been employed to restore a fresco depicting what appears to be the martyring of Saint Sebastian, which has been painted on a rotting wall of the local church by a mysterious, long-dead artist. While temporarily taking up residence in the house that had been previously owned by the two sisters of the deceased painter, Stefano begins a romance with a new, beautiful schoolteacher, Francesca (Francesca Marciano), meanwhile learning from various townspeople that the painter had been a madman who had derived his art from real life. Specifically, Stefano learns that the artist — assisted by his two equally-insane sisters — had been a killer who brutally tortured people through to death as inspiration for his horrific paintings — a practice that had likely been used for the very painting he is in process of restoring. As Stefano is discouraged for his task throughout the town, some of the villagers are brutally killed — including his employer — and he comes to suspect that their murderer is trying to deter him from discovering the full truth behind the artist and his ominous legacy within the sleepy community.

In 1956, Gabriella (Veronica Moriconi)—a girl with apparent psychic powers—is brought to the enormous house of Dr. Meyer (Cesare Barbetti) in Chartres, France. Meyer intends to conduct an experiment testing her abilities. He takes her into his basement, where the youngster abruptly falls to her knees and begins digging into the dirt. "This is where you're hiding, isn't it?" Meyer yells. He rushes upstairs for help from his assistants and leaves Gabriella by herself. She is attacked by something unseen and is taken to the hospital. In the basement, further digging reveals a rotted corpse, with a nearby wallet identifying the dead man as Paolo Zeder. Dr. Meyer realizes that the earth in which Zeder was buried was a 'K-Zone'.
