Synopsis
Elle a 81 ans et elle danse encore. Au Brésil, Bastu vit au rythme des fêtes de son village, de la musique traditionnelle, de ses imaginations surréalistes et des rêves qui ont composé sa vie. Un matin, elle découvre son mari décédé dans son sommeil. Tim and his friend Can (Elyas M’Barek) go to bars and pretend that one is looking for a date for his friend, who is supposedly deathly ill, and needs one last roll in the hay. Thus Tim (Max Riemelt) meets Marie (Anna Fischer) and they fall in love. Marie must care for her older, ill sister Edda (Jessica Schwarz) who spends a lot of time in bed awaiting death. At a wedding reception, a man in his late thirties (Eckhart) approaches a bridesmaid (Bonham Carter) of about the same age, and offers her a glass of champagne. In Kenosha, Wisconsin, Ivy, editor at her high school paper, and her long-term boyfriend Seth are in their final year of high school and already have been accepted at good colleges; before Ivy goes to college to study journalism, she will go on a trip to Paris with her mother for her graduation present, while Seth will go to Caltech to study architecture. With the help of Ivy's best friend Laura, Ivy and Seth spend a weekend together, where they sleep together, and Ivy becomes pregnant. The film's history passes in 1999. The tomboyish, outgoing Julieta is the daughter of a member of the Palmeiras soccer club board.
