Synopsis
Suite à la rupture avec son amant, Jenny Welch vit avec sa sœur Vanessa. Sa vie amoureuse instable la pousse à aller en confessions avec le père Xavier Meldrum à l’Église, recommandé par son ami d'enfance, le prêtre Bernard Cutler. Froid et acariâtre, Meldrum abuse de sa position d'homme de Dieu pour profiter des jeunes filles fragiles venues se confesser auprès de lui. Lorsqu'elles se confient, le père Meldrum enregistre secrètement leurs secrets pour ensuite leur faire du chantage. Frustré par sa misérable vie sexuelle, il séquestre notamment sa propre mère avec l'aide d'une tortionnaire blonde et castratrice. Femme libérée, Jenny est sa nouvelle proie et Meldrum, obsédé par elle, s'immisce dans sa vie privée en la traquant, en la faisant chanter avec ses aveux sur un avortement qu'elle a subi puis en tuant les hommes qu'elle fréquente pour la remettre sur le bon chemin et pour la purifier. Lorsqu’elle comprend qu'il est un psychopathe, personne ne la croit car il est inimaginable qu'un homme de foi puisse être un pervers et un meurtrier.Actors

Kenneth Magee (Desi Arnaz, Jr.), a young writer, bets $20,000 that he can write a Wuthering Heights-calibre novel in 24 hours. The film opens with Gail Cooper (Holly Palance) traveling to her ex-husband Nick's (Jack Jones) apartment in Los Angeles in order to remove some of its more valuable items. It soon becomes apparent that while Nick (a successful singer) isn't at home, someone is clearly there. The anonymous person watches Gail take a phone call from a reporter asking about the couple's divorce and inquiring as to when Nick will release his next album, as he's been on a six year hiatus since marrying Gail. As the phone call ends and Gail walks around the house she is ambushed and murdered by the person, who is wearing an old lady mask and women's clothing.

In an isolated farmhouse, a woman named Dorothy Yates lives with her husband. Dorothy has just been released from a mental institution after it was found she was a cannibal who killed and partially ate at least six people in 1957. Her husband, Edmund Yates was convicted as well but we come to find out that he only faked his dementia in order to remain with his wife.
