Synopsis
Un jeune médecin, le docteur Henri Ferret, vient de s'installer en région parisienne. Nombre de ses patients consultent après avoir été victimes de morsures. Il apprend que, pour se protéger des agressions nocturnes, les habitants ont acheté des chiens de gard ... Morel , qui dresse les chiens, et quelques habitantes, portent un amour excessif à ces animaux, alors que ceux-ci se montrent parfois dangereux et imprévisibles, notamment lorsqu'un chien tue sans raison le maire .Actors

Lafayette (Gérard Depardieu) est un jeune électricien qui vit à New York, mais il n’en fréquente que trois repères : le Musée de Cire de la Rome Antique, de Flaxman (James Coco) où il travaille, un petit théâtre géré par des féministes, son appartement en sous-sol infesté de rats. Un matin, il remarque dans la rue des individus vêtus de combinaisons blanches, il prend peur alors que ce ne sont que des dératisateurs. Au théâtre, les femmes préparent un spectacle dans lequel il est question du viol d’un homme. Lafayette, mal à l’aise durant ces répétitions, provoque quelque peu les comédiennes qui décident de le violer réellement. Cet acte de violence est accompli par Angélica (Gail Lawrence) qui par ailleurs est amoureuse de lui.

Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) is a bartender at a neighborhood bar in Brooklyn called "Cousin Marv's". In 1979, a truck driver Thomas (Luke Ford) arrives in Dampier, Western Australia, late one night. Upon entering the town pub he sees the silhouettes of a group of men, one of whom is holding a gun. Depressed after being abandoned by her young lover, affluent Helene (Annie Giradot) heads off to a health clinic on the coast.
