Synopsis
Carlo (Geronimo Meynier), a student a step away from diploma in surveying, and Gabriella (Christine Kaufmann), a student at a high school language, meet in a pool where the young girl known while swimming. After the first meeting, the two begin dating for the following months, until Charles, having completed his studies and graduated surveyor, asks her to marry him, Gabriella by getting an affirmative answer. For the two betrothed therefore comes time to break the news to their families.Actors

Nicolino is a kitchen boy who works in a small pharmacy in the country, run by a woman unbearably rude. So Nicolino really wants to leave his job, when he discovers that you are looking for a murderess with the same face to his. Nicolino so disguises himself as a woman and flees with the first plane is: leave for Sevilla. In a small village Peter and Paul (both starring Toto), twin brothers of opposite characters, Peter, mayor of the town, is gruff, precise, picky all of a piece and never lets talk about his wife (Bice Valori), is totally different from his brother Paul, who loves the good life and beautiful women, such as the innkeeper's wife Oreste (Carlo Campanini) at the expense of his wife. The story is set in Paris in the middle of the 19th century. Caspar (Totò) and the Baptist (Campanini) are two poor homeless staying in an orphanage, not knowing where to stay. One day the two orphans are called by the director to solve a very special case: Susanne, a girl from the orphanage would like to marry a rich young but her father is against it because he does not know anything about the origins of his girlfriend. So Gasparre has the bright idea to cut a lock of hair to swap it with that of Susanne and so the father of the rich man discovers that the owner of the hair is of noble origins and thus a relative. Caspar along with the Baptist enters the new family but the nobles Parisians have in mind to delete the new emperor Napoleon III of France and the two tramps are involved against their bungling. Being in the real room of the emperor, Napoleon immediately catches them and makes them stop, so Caspar and Baptist are sentenced to the guillotine. But just as the ax is about to fall on their heads, the two orphans wake up with a start: it was all a dream.

The story is taken from the Eduardo Scarpetta's play: Naples, 1800. The poor Felice Sciosciamocca tries to work being a scribe for ignorant people, while his friend Don Pasquale tries to make photographs for rich couples. Meanwhile in the house where the two live, their wives start to fight because the apartment is mortgaged, and the women don't have money to pay the rent. Luckily rich Count Luigino, in love with the beautiful dancer Gemma, asks Pasquale and Felice to stage a farce for him. In fact the parents of Gemma want to meet Luigino's family, but he knows that his real father does not approve his love affair with the dancer. So Luigino transforms Don Felice Sciosciamocca into his uncle: Prince of Casadores, and Don Pasquale has to play the true father of Luigino. The young count entrusts a false part to play to all members of the two families, except the second wife of Felice: Concetta. Unfortunately Count Luigino cannot find a role for her, and Concetta gets very angry. While Felice Sciosciammocca and Pasquale're argue in the beautiful villa of Don Gaetano, Gemma's father, Concetta bursts in the home, and tries to compromise the plan organized by Luigino. Fortunately Don Felice manages to fix the situation and in the end, all is happily resolved.

Province of Rome, the early postwar years. Antonio, an unemployed middle-aged, married a rich woman, Teresa, who bullies: he lives in the countryside with his wife and daughter Valeria with the earnest and always without a penny in his pocket. Valeria makes the acquaintance of Albert, a young journalist, came to the country with the purpose of approaching and interviewing the bandit Ignatius said, "The Press", feared throughout the region for its daring enterprises. With the complicity of Peppino, the barber of the country, Toto pretends to his wife that he had been kidnapped by Ignatius and thus induces Teresa stingy to pay five million for his ransom. The money is squandered in carousing by Toto and Peppino, who went to Rome, where they are joined by Valeria and Alberto, who discovered the deception, even Teresa discovers the ruse of her husband, when the television is transmitted to a shooting in a nightclub, where the two buddies damage to the mad joy. Gone are the money, Toto returns to town and tells his wife to have escaped the bandits, Valeria did not have time to warn him so that man is exposed. The day after Toto is really captured by the men of Ignatius, who also knew of the fake kidnapping done in his name, he calls for a high ransom, Teresa, however, think that this is another fake kidnapping and does not give a money. Valeria and Alberto, now engaged, hatched a plan to rescue Toto, going by Ignatius in his den and calling for freedom of Toto in exchange for an interview that will make the famous bandit. Ignatius accepts and Toto back home. After the wedding of Valeria and Alberto, Teresa's husband out of the house, warning him not to come back until you have made a stand. Toto, who has never worked, is reduced to make the "boy" in the workshop of Peppino.
