Alexey Sergeievich Gorbunov (Алексе́й Серге́евич Горбуно́в or Олексiй Сергійович Горбунов; Born on October 29, 1961 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR, USSR) is a Soviet, Russian and Ukrainian film, Television and stage actor.

Honored Artist of Ukraine (1991).

Biography

Il fait ses études dans la classe de Contantin Stepankov à l'Université nationale Karpenko-Kary, dont il est diplômé en 1984. Puis il joue au Théâtre dramatique russe de Kiev (Théâtre Lessia Oukraïnka) et au Théâtre Nestantiner. L'artiste a également collaboré avec la troupe d'Oleg Menchikov Teatralnoïe tovarichtchestvo 814 (Театральное товарищество 814).

Il apparaît dans l'émission télévisée de la TV ukrainienne Le Réveil de nuit (Ночной будильник, 1998) et Tchoudo-lioudi (Чудо-люди, 2008), et joue dans un groupe de rock. Il est aussi DJ dans des émissions à la radio et s'occupe de deux discothèques à Kiev.

Il joue dans de nombreux films, dont 12 de Nikita Mikhalkov, en 2007, pour lequel il recevra un Aigle d'or du meilleur acteur (partagé avec onze autres acteurs du même film).

Artiste émérite d'Ukraine en 1991, Gorbounov est distingué artiste du Peuple d'Ukraine en 2016.

Il est marié et a deux filles.

In the early 1980s, a high-ranking KGB analyst, Sergei Grigoriev, disillusioned with the Soviet regime, decides to pass Soviet secrets, including a list of Soviet spies, to the government of France, then under the newly elected President François Mitterrand, a Socialist in coalition with the Communist Party. Grigoriev (code-named Farewell by the French intelligence service) hopes to force change in the Soviet Union by revealing their extensive network of spies trying to acquire scientific, technical and industrial information from the West. He uses Pierre Froment, a naïve French engineer based in Moscow, as his unlikely intermediary. After the first transfer of information, Pierre confides in his wife Jessica, who is adamant about his stopping to preserve their family. Grigoriev persuades Pierre to continue without telling Jessica. He will accept neither money nor defection as a reward, but sometimes requests small gifts from Pierre's trips to France, such as a Sony Walkman and Queen cassette tapes for his son, some cognac, or books of French poetry. As Farewell's prodigious output blossoms, the French are bewildered by the sheer scale and yield of top Western technology transferred covertly to the Soviets.

It is 1967, the middle of the Cold War in Legnica, south western Poland. In 1955, a group of young Muscovite Komsomol (communist youth) students led by Katerina intercepts illegal stilyagi gatherings in Gorky Park. Perceived as "enemies of society", the stilyagi are forced to flee, with many of them getting caught and their clothing, ties or hair cut by the Komsomol for demonstrative purposes. Mels, a twenty-year-old paragon athletic student and member of the Komsomol, is ordered by Katia to chase one of the escapists, another young girl. However, the girl soon tricks him into believing that she broke her ankle, and then abruptly pushes Mels into a pond, at the same time inviting him to "come spend some time with Polly (Russian: Польза, wordplay on "benefit") on the Broadway".

The jury decides whether a young Chechen boy is guilty of the murder of his stepfather, a Russian military officer. Initially it seems that the boy was the murderer. However, one of the jurors (Sergei Makovetsky) votes in favour of acquittal. Since the verdict must be rendered unanimously, the jurors review the case, and one by one come to the conclusion that the boy was framed. The murder was performed by criminals involved in the construction business. The discussion is repeatedly interrupted by flashbacks from the boy's wartime childhood.
