Kaduvakulam Antony (9 November 1936 - 4 February 2001) was an Indian film actor from Kerala who performed more than 300 films as comedian during the 1960s and 1970s. He is regarded as one of the best and most popular comedians in Malayalam cinema. Antony generally portrayed the humorous sidekick character.

Biography

Early life
Antony was born on 9 November 1936 at Kuttanad, Alleppy. He is the son of Mr Thoman And Mrs Annama duos. When he was at 2 years old, his family shifted to Kaduvakulam, Kottayam district. His parents were farmers. He was the eighth son of his family. He was having 7 siblings, two of them died by birth. Even from childhood, Antony had the dream of becoming a comedian. From childhood onwards, he was having elevated sense of humour.

He ran a private finance company, but he was very much devoted to become an actor. So he took part in several amateur theatre plays and Monoacts as well. For seven years, he contributed in Drama Acharaya N N Pillai's drama troupe named Viswa Kerala Kala Samithi and National theaters.

Later on, the Malayalam film actor Jose Prakash introduced him to the Malayalam film industry.

Kaduvakulam Antony was married to Beeyatries Antony. The couple had 2 children, Tomydas Antony Pallivathukal and Sonia Antony.

Mannar Mathai (Innocent) is now running a drama group under Urvashi Theatres. The lead actors in this troupe, Gopalakrishnan (Mukesh) and Balakrishnan (Saikumar), always fights with each other for the lead role in the drama. During Urvashi Theatre's first stage show, Gopalakrishnan was supposed to act like slapping the heroine, but he ends up slapping her for real, and hard. Krishnakumar is orphan and a policeman who lived with his younger sister Sheela. Sheela falls in love with her classmate Babu and Krisnha accepts him as his brother in law. But tragedy strikes the couple on their honeymoon when Babu was beaten into a coma and Sheela was raped and killed. The police arrested four middle-age friends who follow them. But Krishnakumar found out that his sister's murderers were actually Babu's three classmates but now they are freed thanks to M. S. Menon, one of the killer's father.
