Tara Platt (born June 18), is an American film, television and voice actress. She has provided voices for dozens of English-language versions of Japanese anime films, television series, and video games. Her notable roles in anime include Temari in Naruto and Reina in Rave Master. In video games, she has voiced Noir in Tales of the Abyss and Mitsuru Kirijo in Persona 3, as well as characters in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Saints Row: The Third, Soulcalibur IV, and League of Legends. On screen she has appeared in television shows like Scandal, Hawaii Five-0, Castle and Revenge, as well as the feature film The Call. She also runs a production company, Monkey Kingdom Productions, as well as publishing company, Bug Bot Press, with husband and partner Yuri Lowenthal.
She has performed in a number of shows written and directed by John de Lancie. She played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (with both the Pasadena Civic and the Toyota Youth Shakespeare Series with the Los Angeles Philharmonic); Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream; Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew; and appeared in First Nights: Clara and Robert Schumann at the Walt Disney Concert Hall as Clara Schumann, in a role written for her by de Lancie.
Platt and husband Yuri Lowenthal founded in 2004, Monkey Kingdom Productions, an independent film production company which has produced two feature films including Lowenthal's Tumbling After, and mockumentary Con Artists. Their production company also created, produced and featured them in 4 seasons of award-winning web-series Shelf Life Shelf Life WebSeries, which streamed on YouTube and is currently available as an app on iTunes. Platt and Lowenthal also co-authored a book on voice-over called Voice-Over Voice Actor: What It's Like Behind the Mic. It is available through Bug Bot Press and Emerald Book Company.

Platt moved around a lot when she was young, and her family settled in Chelsea, Michigan when she was 14. She studied at Rutgers University and at the London Academy of Theatre, where she received a BFA in theatre arts. She lived in New York and worked off-Broadway, and later moved to Los Angeles.She has performed in a number of shows written and directed by John de Lancie. En pleurant à ses côtés, il découvre qu'il a la capacité de guérir et de sauver son père, qui finit par se réveiller. A Los Angeles Police Department veteran 9-1-1 operator, Jordan Turner (Berry), receives a call one night from a teenage girl, Leah Templeton (Evie Thompson), fearing for her life as a man breaks into her home. Jordan calmly advises her to conceal herself upstairs, but when the call is disconnected, Jordan calls Leah back, a decision that later costs Leah her life, as the ringing phone gives her location away to the intruder. Jordan attempts to dissuade him from going further over the phone. He responds "It's already done" and hangs up, leaving her distraught. The next day, Jordan sees a television report confirming that Leah has been murdered. The 10th Division, led by Tōshirō Hitsugaya and Rangiku Matsumoto are sent to escort an artifact known as the "King's Seal" or "Oin", which is stolen during transport from the Soul Society by an unidentified and masked Soul Reaper and two mysterious Arrancar resembling girls who control fire and lightning. During the attack, Hitsugaya corners and seems to recognize the Soul Reaper, who wounds him and leaves. In the middle of battle, Hitsugaya abandons his post to pursue him and leaves his squad behind to fend for themselves. After the battle, the Soul Society suspects Hitsugaya of treason and orders his immediate capture. The whole 10th Squad is then put under house arrest at which time they can surmise whether or not the division should be abolished.

Set a year after the original, One Missed Call 2 introduces Kyoko Okudera and her friend Madoka Uchiyama. Both women are teaching assistants at a kindergarten in the middle of Tokyo. Madoka persuades Kyoko to visit a restaurant where Kyoko's boyfriend Naoto Sakurai works part-time at. Mei-Feng is the daughter of the cook, and her cellphone rings with the "ringtone of death". However, she is out buying groceries and her father answers it. The call was meant to be for Mei-Feung, but since her father answered it, he hears his own death instead. Later, when the restaurant is closed, Mei-Feung gives Kyoko and Madoka her new phone number since she has gotten a new one along with a new cellphone. Seconds after exchanging numbers, Madoka gets a call with the ringtone of death.
