Synopsis
Comme chaque année, Philippe (Michel Auclair), jeune peintre désabusé et brillant convive, est invité par Paule (Micheline Presle) à passer ses vacances dans sa luxueuse villa sur la Côte d’Azur. Un barman ami lui propose à Saint-Tropez une fille pour passer agréablement l'été. Il lui préfère Manette (Pascale Petit), rencontrée par hasard dans ce bar. Manette est éblouie par tout ce luxe, cette vie facile, et s'attache à Philippe. Michel, le fils de Paule, est écœuré de cette existence creuse et sans idéal ; il vient de s'engager dans le sionisme. Sa mère espère que Manette saura le retenir. Celui-ci, un moment charmé par la fraîcheur de Manette, semble hésiter ; mais elle, malgré son attirance pour le jeune homme, lui préfère Philippe, sa muflerie et son cynisme plein de prestige. Michel est parti. Philippe va regagner Paris. Une dernière sortie en mer, où Manette brave encore avec ivresse les lois de l'équilibre, et Philippe rentrera seul, à la nage.Actors

L'industriel André Laroche vient de mourir. À son enterrement se trouve François de Vierne, à qui sa mère confesse « Laroche était Arsène Lupin, et tu es son fils ». Arsène Lupin avait eu un autre fils, Gérard Dagmar, danseur, magicien et parfois cambrioleur. François de Vierne apprend chez le notaire qu'il doit rechercher le trésor royal de Poldavie. Ce trésor est successivement trouvé par Gérard, repris par François, volé par le consul de Poldavie, le sinistre Von Krantz, qui n'hésite pas à faire enlever le petit prince de Poldavie, frère de la jolie Catherine. Finalement le trésor est récupéré. François et une jeune journaliste, Nathalie, Gérard et la princesse Catherine n'ont plus qu'à filer le parfait amour.

François Perrin est un petit journaliste énonçant les nouvelles à l'antenne de RTL. Seul dans la vie, sa seule « distraction » est son voisin de palier qui lui tient la jambe de temps à autre. It is the day that Antoine (Jean-Claude Brialy), a Paris advertising man, is to marry the lovely Gisèle (Marie Laforêt) and his best man Julien (Claude Rich), a divorced statistician, tries to talk him out of it with tales of the hard times he had from women, ending in entrapment by his stunning secretary Denise (Catherine Deneuve), a professional virgin. Going into a bistro for a quick drink before they drive to the wedding, the owner Fernand (Jean-Paul Belmondo), a retired villain and pimp, tells the two of his exploits that ended in marriage to pretty but pushy Sophie (Marie Dubois). Antoine decides to run for it, taking one of the tickets for the honeymoon in Greece and giving the other to Fernand. On board ship, he falls for the delectable Sandra (Françoise Dorléac), a professional confidence woman, who cleans him out of his money but in the end agrees to marry him. Fernand comes back with an old millionairess, former brothel owner, who drives a Rolls. At the wedding of Antoine and Sandra, Julien falls for a sweet brunette.

In order to inherit his Aunt Emma's large fortune (which includes a large chunk of Scotland), Albin must marry a woman and father a child, and Renato goes along with the plan in an attempt to save their St. Tropez nightclub. A man frozen for 65 years is found in the ice of the North Pole by a scientific polar expedition. While he is brought back to life by professor Edouard Lauriebat (Michael Lonsdale), the man is identified as Paul Fournier, who was exploring the pole in 1905 and is now, thanks to hibernation, a 90 years old young man. Edmée de Tartas (Claude Gensac), born Fournier, is identified as the granddaughter of Paul and convinces her husband, Hubert Barrère de Tartas (Louis de Funès), that Paul must be given back to his family, while the government wishes to treat Paul as a research subject. After a kidnapping and a pursuit, the authorities reluctantly agree, but impose, for the sake of Paul's mental health, that his environment be the same as in 1905. As Paul thinks Edmée is his mother, Hubert must play the role of a man courting Edmée and Didier (Olivier de Funès), the son of Edmée and Hubert plays the role of a student living with the family. First under control, the situation gradually deteriorates especially when Paul's actions become a threat to Hubert's plan to marry his son to the daughter of Crepin-Jaujard, one of his business partners.
