The first scene of the film shows Arya (Allu Arjun) being carried into an operation theatre. His friend Ajay (Navdeep) narrates how Arya changed his life. In their childhood, Arya stays in an orphanage where he has no friends or family. By force, he befriends Ajay who also is in that orphanage. One day, Ajay is adopted by a rich family and leaves the orphanage behind him. As time passes, he becomes a big shot business tycoon and has his own software company, but Arya becomes a drunkard and does anything for Ajay. Ajay feels ashamed to say that Arya is his friend and avoids him. But Arya convinces him that he would be a good boy if he be given a job in Ajay's company. Die hard friend Arya just wanted to stay close to Ajay. But Ajay has one condition that if Arya is proven as a "bad boy" in the office, he has to leave the company. Thus, Arya converts himself into a " Mr. Perfect" without any defect and joins the company. Everyone in the company are fond of Arya, especially Shanti (Shraddha Das) who is madly in love with him. One day Geeta (Kajal Aggarwal) joins the company and Ajay and Arya both immediately fall in love with her. Arya is now Geeta's Team Lead. In a lift one day, while Geeta converses with Arya, suddenly he kisses her. In many other instances also, Arya keeps confessing his love to Geetha without anyone knowing about it. Ajay now wants to get rid of Arya. So, he crashes his own (Ajay's) car and weaves a story that Arya has crashed him. He did so, so that everyone would accuse Arya and he would be fired. At this juncture, Geeta comes to know that Ajay too loves her.

Azhagu Raja (Karthik), is the only son of the Muthukrishnan family. He owns an unpopular cable channel called "Triple A". The cable company has only two employees, Raja and Kalyanam (Santhanam). Nothing they do improves the company's fortunes. By chance, Raja meets Devi Priya (Kajal Aggarwal) when she is singing at a wedding. Her unusual voice irritates him and they argue. There are two brothers called Bommana Brothers (Allari Naresh and Krishna Bhagavaan) who were thieves by profession and their parents (Tanikella Bharani and Kovai Sarala) always encourage them to do thefts as they too practise the same. The film was loosely based on the Ramayana. Venkat (Prabhas) and Sailaja (Trisha) are youngsters who first meet on a train during a rain shower. Venkat keeps bumping into Sailaja coincidentally every time it rains. This makes them both feel that it is perhaps the rain that keeps bringing them together, and they start to fall in love. Venkat is mesmerized by Sailaja's beauty, charisma, and childlike behavior. Sailaja, also, is impressed by Venkat. Due to unfortunate circumstances the two are drawn apart. At the same time that the two meet, Sailaja catches the eye of antagonist Bhadranna (Gopichand) who also becomes infatuated with Sailaja. Venkat and Sailaja meet in Warangal again and believe that they are meant for each other because it rains every time they meet. Ranga Rao (Prakash Raj), Sailaja's dad, is a typical black sheep with all kinds of bad habits. In the process, he is ready to marry off his daughter to Bhadranna for money. Ranga Rao plants certain ego problems in the minds of Venkat and Sailaja in order to break them up. This causes Venkat to leave Warangal for Vizag. And Sailaja prepares to become an actress (her father convinces her). Later on, Bhadranna kidnaps Sailaja. The rest of the story is about how Venkat rescues Sailaja from the bastion of Bhadranna and how he clears up the misunderstanding with Sailaja in the process.

Diya (Aishwarya Rai) is an intelligent university student who does not agree with arranged marriage. She spends much of her time at an orphanage in Coorg, helping her "Uncle" (Amitabh Bachchan) with the kids living there. The story begins when Diya travels to Mumbai to take exams. While there, she stays with her father's friend, and meets their lighthearted son, Arjun (Vivek Oberoi). His views on love are completely opposite hers. But they start spending time with each other and soon fall in love. Arjun however, is unaware that he is in love, whereas Diya professes her love. Misunderstandings occur until Arjun ventures off to the orphanage, in hopes of putting a smile on her face again after breaking her heart. There, he realizes his true feelings for Diya, who is planning to marry her childhood friend, Ishaan (Suniel Shetty). Luckily, this was all just a plan 'Uncle' made to get Arjun to realize his mistake of not professing love for Diya at the right moment.
