Music of the film is by Rajesh Roshan.
Even though the film is scripted by Ashwani Dhir, the screenplay is an (uncredited) adaptation of the Malayalam film Mookkilla Rajyathu, which in turn was an (uncredited) adaptation of the 1989 Hollywood film The Dream Team, written originally by John Connolly and David Loucka.
Synopsis
Raja (Arshad Warsi) has a temper problem, Gangadhar (Rajpal Yadav) has an obsession of freedom, Dr. Mukherjee (Irrfan Khan), is a clean freak and Dabboo (Suresh Menon), has not spoken in years. Dr. Sonali (Juhi Chawla) is treating all four of them.Actors

Scientist Rohit Mehra lives with his son Krishna "Krrish" Mehra (both played by Hrithik Roshan) in Mumbai. Krishna is married to Priya (Priyanka Chopra) who works as a journalist for Aaj Tak. Rohit works in a research institute for the Indian government and Krishna, while moon lighting as the superhero Krrish, is regularly fired from various day jobs due to lack of attendance. Rohit is researching on a device that will bring life to dead tissues by the use of solar energy. Despite several attempts, he fails to complete the experiment due to the high intensity of sun rays. On a usual day, Krishna loses his job from the security wing of a company when he hears news about an aeroplane whose front tyres are stuck due to some malfunctioning which creates high risk, even if landed, it may explode and so will the passengers inside. Krishna immediately changes himself to Krrish and saves the plane from accident by holding the component to make tyres free to roam.

Aarti Verma (Rekha) is a widow with two children. She is an unattractive woman with a large birthmark on her face. Aarti's husband died in a car accident under mysterious circumstances, and her father (Saeed Jaffrey) is one of the richest and most famous businessmen in the city. However, when Aarti's father is murdered by his worker Hiralal (Kader Khan), Aarti's world is completely destroyed. She does not find any sense for her life, except bringing up her children. Durga Singh (Raakhee) is a poor woman raising her two beloved sons Karan (Salman Khan) and Arjun (Shahrukh Khan). Her sons give her bangles, which she says she shall give to the women they marry. A scientist named Dr. Sanjay Mehra (director Rakesh Roshan) creates a computer program from which he sends variations of the syllable om into space, hoping to attract the attention of extraterrestrial life. When he believes he has finally gotten a response, the scientific community mocks him. While driving home, an alien spacecraft appears overhead. Dr. Mehra veers off the road, causing the car to hit a stone, flip over, and explode. Dr. Mehra dies, but his wife survives the wreck and returns home to India. When their son Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) is born, he is mentally disabled. His mother raises him in the town of Kasauli, where he grows up to be a man of limited intellect and childish personality, but with a loving and emotional heart. Rohit has a number of much younger friends: loyal children who play with him.

Murli Prasad Sharma alias Munna Bhai (Sanjay Dutt), a gangster who is in love with the voice of Janhavi (Vidya Balan), a radio jockey, devises a plan to meet her when she announces a quiz contest featuring the life and beliefs of Mahatma Gandhi, to be aired on 2 October, the birthday of Gandhi. To prepare for the contest, Munna's sidekick Circuit (Arshad Warsi) kidnaps and bribes a group of professors to provide the answers for Munna. After winning the contest, Munna is granted an interview with Janhavi wherein he presents himself as a professor of history and a Gandhi specialist. Janhavi subsequently asks Munna to present a lecture on Gandhi to a community of senior citizens who live in her home, called the 'Second Innings House.' To prepare for this event, Munna engages in intense study at a Gandhi institute. For three days and nights (and without food or sleep), Munna reads about the life and ideologies of Gandhi.
